Peanut Butter Cups
Dec. 19th, 2018 04:45 pmSo my sister is kinda good with baked stuff in the kitchen and one day she was messing with things that involve a lot of peanut butter and she stumbled upon this flavorful idea.
Peanut Butter (With Honey added, Skippy Natural brand, not sure if that matters. We use the non-hydrogenated peanut butters because they are way healthier.)
Granulated Sugar
Powdered Sugar
Vanilla flavoring (Artificial makes no difference.)
She stirred that stuff together and I swear, it tasted just like Reeces Peanut Butter. Sometimes I stir up some just because, and it's pretty close. Once I added some brown sugar but it had a slightly different flavor. Wasn't bad though! I have no measurements, just mix a bit of it into the peanut butter because a little goes a long way and peanut butter is served in tablespoons so I never make very much. Just a teaspoon of granulated sugar, though I use half as much powdered kind. A little splash of the vanilla. It's just perfect on toast. I have hyperosmia so flavors are way, way stronger to me than to other people, so for me a tiny bit goes a long way for taste. It might take more for other people.
(Contemplating using as a journal, not sure yet. Still getting used to this site.)

Dreamwidth, what is this?
Dec. 18th, 2018 09:03 pmOk, so this is actually the first I've heard of this site, so I'm giving it a go. I'm one of those people who hates having to make new accounts on things, and this is no exception.
First impression... It's very... bright to my eyes. I like a darker theme. Might have to look into that, see if I can make it more visually acceptable. (Still trying to figure out how to get Ao3 to let me read things with a dark background and light text without the links vanishing on me when I try to darken the theme, too.) I actually prefer reading fics and such on fanfiction.net because I can have the black background that is less painful on my sensitive eyes, with just one click.
EDIT: Managed to get it to a darker theme, so it's less eye-burn and more confusion. Great. /Edit.
Anyways, not entirely sure how active I'll be here, or how often I'll even look at it. Might just read stuff others post. I just came here since there was mention of it on the DoS forum. I'll always check the forum first, and messages there. Still learning to navigate new sites, so I'm not used to it yet.
I still intend to reblog anime pics I find on Tumblr, because honestly it's still a place I like to use, and there's still good art in the world. I do hate the sponsored stuff that has randomly appeared on my dashboard. It's spam. It's annoying. I'm never giving them clicks. I remember some of it as identical to malicious spam and such from facebook ads. I just hate what the management of Tumblr has done. The community is gutted, but there's still a few there that post artwork I like, so I'm gonna still look there now and then. I didn't use it for a good long time, and I might fall out of practice later just because I'm not enthused. It used to be a good place for networking and community and now it's just fallen flat.
I've mostly been focusing on my original writing lately.
