Chuck Intel

As and when we profile this lovely but stern 1 star general, I have intel on what most of her ribbons mean; straight from a US army veteran I met at Dragon con :-)

I was setting up the Chuck slash question and I thought that given the fact it was fanfic related you guys might like to chat about it as well.

What themes and type of story lines do you enjoy most in the Chuck fanfic you read? How about the fanfic you write? Do you prefer fluff, angst, AU, PWP? How much focus do you like to give to plot? Any thoughts about how you like to see the characters portrayed? What character traits can not be left out when you're writing with each of the characters of Chuck?

I thought that come of you guys might like this community since many Chuck fans started out in the Firefly fandom.

There is this lovely group called whedonland. It sounded pretty awesome and I volunteered to help. I'm the captain of The Browncoats (aka the Firefly fans)!! You can also be part of team Buffy, Angel or Dollhouse. So up and join!! It's all about fics and icons and quizzes and everything good about fandom... and winning!!!!

It's an interactive community, with a sense of competition. You will be placed in one of the teams : Dollhouse, Serenity, Sunnydale or City of Angels. You will compete against the other teams to defeat the apocolypse first.
To defeat the apocolypse first, your team must have the greatest amount of points on the designated date.

How do I get points?
A number of ways...you can participate in the icon communities, complete trivia games, write fic, and other assorted tasks that will come up. Participation gets you points, winning gets you more points.
Each team will also have in-team activities and fun of their own!

Inspiration for this question: I was writing a Sarah scene the other day and one paragraph in 'She's always a Woman' by Billy Joel popped in my head.
