 The whole tumblr deciding that what it really wanted to do was set itself repeatedly on fire and pretend like this was its brilliant plan all a long to protect The Children. I wish I could say I am surprised but honestly this has been on the way since Yahoo bought the place and started making noises about renovations. It's like clockwork. Every ten years or so Yahoo realizes fandom is a thing, buys the platform fandom has moved onto, and then sets that platform on fire while loudly asking why fandom is making them do this.
