This is a superb example of why she's so dominant though. Besides the fact that she works her ass of to be, because she does. Economy of movement is a big damned deal in endurance sports. Ledecky is far and away the best distance swimmer in the world because of how precise her movement is. There is zero wasted motion and nothing shows that more clearly than this.
I can't get over how smooth her paddling is, there's barely a ripple when her hands enter the water
This is amazing, but I'm just imagining someone less skilled and smooth than her trying this and spilling chocolate milk in the pool, and the next person to swim in that pool is now swimming in very dilute chocolate milk. 🤢
For those of you looking for these recipes, they're from Cooking for Engineers. Which should shock nobody. But it's a great site. Sadly seems to be defunct, but I can personally vouch for the recipes being presented in a foolproof* manner. Not only is the card layout great (honestly, just having the oven temperature right there instead of having to keep trying to find it in the recipe is a game changer), but every step has a photo. None of this "until done" rubbish, it'll have a photo of "yeah, here's how it should look, and no, this photo isn't overly produced".
And unlike most cooking blogs, the commentariat substitutions are generally competent!
If you're still not sold on the site, may I add that he once took a pair of calipers to Chili's to test their claim that "their new Smokehouse Bacon Burgers [...] have 'the thickest bacon you've ever seen'."
Unsurprisingly, his verdict was:
(on Friday, April 13, 2008 at the Chili's in Santa Clara, California) they served bacon that was (to an accuracy of 1/128th of an inch) 3/16 in. thick (4.75 mm ± 0.2mm) after cooking. [...] Does it truly hold up to its claim that it's the "thickest bacon you've ever seen"? My guess is that for most people that's true, but for me it was most definitely not the case.
So yeah, definitely check out his website, whether you're a novice or experienced cook, whether you're an engineer or someone who didn't even know what a caliper was before you started reading this. I highly recommend starting with the shepherd's pie (yes, it's the same one from Joy of Cooking), and either the creme brulee or the biscotti for dessert. The recipe image OP used was for espresso brownies. Presumably roasting your own beans is optional, though.

*It's me. I'm the fool. I'm proof that even a fool can follow the recipes.
As someone who has also used calipers in a rather unexpected way*, I'm going to go ahead and vouch for this website.
(* Sneakily determining my partner's knuckle diameter while he was asleep, in order to get his ring size for a surprise engagement ring that fit perfectly. Judging by the reaction of the jeweler I went to, I don't think they had ever seen someone bring in a locked set of calipers for ring-sizing before. But the engagement ring did indeed fit perfectly!)

There's something I have to say to the kind of people who keep unsocial reptiles as pets, doting on and adoring their weird little lizardly critters and do not give a single fuck about the idea that their darling creatures' little lizard brains cannot comprehend affection the way mammals do:
You are more capable of true, pure, unconditional love than the god who made them.

So Sweden used to give random citizens control over the official @Sweden Twitter account for like a day/week/month or whatever. As you can see why, it didn’t last long
what do you mean it didn't last long they did this for like seven years between 2011 and 2018 they didn't stop doing it because someone tweeted about cock sdfgsdfgsdfgsdf they kept doing it for four more years after this

Pro-censorship wattpad refugees drama is so funny to me because when I started using ao3 as a kid I was a devout mormon and I thought that reading anything even remotely pornagraphic was a sin and would ruin my life. So when I was 13 and found ao3 I went "oh awesome I found a fanfic website with a filtering system so I won't ever randomly stumble into porn. This is great! I was really worried about seeing something I didn't want to see on the other platforms." I didn't read any smut online until like three years later. If a mormon 13 year old can figure out 'don't like don't read' wattpad users can too cmon you guys i believe in you.
mpreg and pregnant men just kinda being a massive laughing stock/easy target no matter what environment you're in is just one of those things that really chips away at you. It's impossible to get people to care. The meme-ification of pregnant men's bodies hurts real people
