It takes the film noir genre from the '30s and '40s and really recaptures it in the modern era. In some ways it's direct recapturing (the pacing is mellow compared to most modern storytelling, and there's voice-over narration, for example) or in indirect ways like rough cuts and jumps.
I enjoyed it.
Good story. Startling twists. 8 episodes (renewed for next season).
