That's the only one I've managed to find in the past few months. I may track down some local rockers/CD stores to see if they have a copy or can get one. I'm not sure begging them via MySpace to bring me a copy would be very good for my image... Gotta look good for Konstantine, after all!
Speaking of which... I bought a pair of pants for the concert today. $4! Wewt! They're pretty much amazing. And I think they make my butt look good. Haha. Misti and I discussed what to do with my head-region and have come to the decision that I should do my hair some so that it's kind of flippy, ya know... and then throw the hat on over it. I'm also going to wear my green tank top underneath the Dommin shirt in case it gets really hot, lol. Oh, and I'm going to wear my grey Etnies since none of my other shoes will really even GO with the outfit. Sooo... Yeah. I'm ready!
Well, I got a job. FINALLY, I'm out of the food business. Wewt! I'm now an Associate at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I start training Tuesday and Wednesday at 10am. I'm actually really looking forward to this. The managers are both really cool so far. I could have had an interview today for Kohl's, but they called around 10pm last night, so I'd already received the offer from BB&B. Plus, Kohl's was a seasonal position, whereas BB&B was just straight out hiring... which is amazing in itself. The economy sucks sooooo bad right now. It took me TWO MONTHS just to find a job. Uggggh....
Wow. I just saw my phone on TV. On a commercial for Gossip Girl, of all places, lol. And now it's back to Supernatural, with Paris Hilton sharpening her nails on some kind of blade. Haha. Paul McGillion made a cameo appearance at the beginning of the episode. Always good to see him! :)
Let's see here... What else is new?... Not much else has really changed, I guess. I'm having phone issues, but I think those should get cleared up tomorrow when I give the company a bit of money. Not having income has seriously been cutting into my bill paying abilities. I just hope I get my first check in time to pay my insurance bill. I may call them and let them know ahead of time that I just got a job, so the payment may be a few days late. Had to buy the insurance in order to purchase the car, though... and needed the car to get a job... Aggggh...
At least the concert is in 6 days. That's my light at the end of the tunnel right now, lol.
I. Can't. Freaking. WAIT! I really need to look up the other two bands a bit, I think. I've listened to them a bit, but I think it would be nice if I at least learned one of each of their songs, maybe, possibly, ehhhhhhh... Haha. The other opening band sounds pretty good. The headliner sounds okay, too, but Dommin is the band I'm there for. I don't know what to wear yet. All I know so far is I'll be rockin' my Dommin shirt. Misti suggested I wear my jeans, but they've got a few tears in them... so I may put a few more in them and wash 'em a couple times to get the raggedy look. And I don't know how I'm going to do my hair. And OMG OMG OMG I have to look awesome for Konstantine. Guh, I'm so sprung on that boy, lol.
He's on the left. The one with the amazing hands. Mmm... And the glasses. Haha. What can I say? I like 'em tall, dark and nerdy! Hahaha. I can't believe it's only been like three months since I saw them in concert for the first time. Damn, they're good. It took Lacuna Coil at least a few weeks before they won my heart over. Dommin was instantaneous. Maybe it's a siiiiiign... LoL!
Well, I think I shall perhaps go finish that email I started a few hours ago to the new RR Records intern (lucky bastard!). Someday, perhaps I'll be in his shoes. Gotta go to school first, though, I think. Get some edu-ma-cation in me and then I'll totally rock the music industry as the best Marketing/PR rep ever. Yeyeah!
So, I've been doing a bit of research lately on different colleges (online and nearby). I haven't picked one for sure yet, but it's down to University of Phoenix, Ashford University, or Lake-Sumter Community College. The first two are online colleges that have campuses around the U.S... There's some near where I live, but if I went with those, I'd be going through solely online courses. The third one, though, is the local college. I went in and had an appointment with an academic advising counselor today. I'm pretty optimistic about it now, I think. Their costs are cheaper, even for out of state... $320.90 per credit hour via LSCC. UoP and Ashford are $380 and $354 per credit hour. But once I get residency, LSCC drops to $80 something per credit hour... Plus, with LSCC, I can try to just take my English classes via online, but go in for my math and sciences since I'm slightly incompetent at those. Plus, science = labs. LoL
Sooo... Yeah...
Still waiting to hear back from Books-a-Million regarding the job. Well, not really the job - I got the job. We're just waiting for the background check to come back so that they know I'm not a criminal. *sigh* Because, y'know, I'm totally a criminal... Bonny and Clyde look out! LoL!
In other, more positive news, I'm attempting to get a free Dommin shirt. Yes, I know, I've already got one. But why only have one... when you can have two?! LoL! So I'm going to post this link... http://join.domminnation.com/refer…
Join the Dommin Nation! It's - wow. I JUST now noticed that when you say those two words fast, it comes out 'domination'.
Epic. Freaking. Fail.
Excuse me while I go kill myself now, lol!
But really, I am going to go do something else. I'm rather bored. LoL
Today has been... ehhh... mediocre. I spent all morning working on my Meria story. Then, at precisely 1pm, Misti knocked on the door and informed me that they were planning on going to the movies and would I like to come along. My response: Let me hop in the shower real quick! I wasn't going to pass up a free pass to see GI Joe! LoL. Misti ended up staying at home - she's still a bit woozy sometimes from the neck surgery and I think something domestic was bugging her, too. I was pretty sure I'd heard her and Brooke fighting not long before she came to let me know about the movies.
So, I hopped into the shower, brushed my teeth, and then got dressed. By 1:20, Brooke, Brice and I were out the door. Yeah, that's right. I SO win gold medal for getting ready the fastest EVAR! (Note: Ever has been spelled incorrectly to emphasize just how awesome it was.)
Anyhoo... We had intended to see the 1:55 viewing that was listed online. When we got to the mall, though, the only showings were at 12:50 and 7:30. WTF?! So, no movie for us. We moved on to Target, snagged a few things (dog food, pigs in a blanket materials, soda) and headed home kinda bummed out.
The rest of the day passed in a bit of a blur. I got a bit more writing done for Meria, watched a small portion of '300' as well as the season 2 finale of True Blood (seriously... one of the most fucked up shows I've seen in a long while), and now it's back to writing. I'm also chatting with Laird, who just read the first short bit of the Meria story. Aside from some of the names (which aren't mine and will be changing when I further the story), he likes it. Wewt! *whew* Haha.
I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to writing, and INCREDIBLY self-conscious about it. So to have someone who has never read ANY of my writing before say he liked it... Well, that pretty much makes me feel rather happy. I'm still nervous about sending him the rest. Haha. But he was one of the smartest kids I knew back in high school (and still is one of the smartest people I know to this day!), and he's really nice to boot, so I suppose I shouldn't be quite so worried. We're talking about D&D now, after all. XD
Ehhh... Okay, I'm going to go watch some more Dommin videos and then maybe get some sleep. I think I'm going to stop by the Lake-Sumter campus tomorrow and try to chat with a counselor. Brooke said that two years ago, when I was first planning to move down here to FL, my grandma had said she would help pay for my college. I don't remember this, but a few things have changed since then (a few deaths in the family, and her brother lost his job, so I think she's paying TWO mortgages), so who knows if it will still be an offer... and then there's the whole 'how the fuck do I bring that topic up with her??' thing...
Aaaaanyhoo... Dommin awaits. :)
Laird: anyways, back on the shaving thing...
...Oh dear... What have I gotten myself into?... Hahahaha. <3<3
So, when I first moved down here to Florida, I read this amazing book series called 'The Vampire Diaries'. It was released WAAAAY before Twilight, so yeah. Anyways, The CW has recently made it into a television series... Needless to say, I was totally stoked!
....until I read the 'about the show', saw pictures of the different characters, and then watched the pilot...
Now, I understand Hollywood's need to tweak a few things here and there, but in this case, they may as well have just called it something completely different... Like... "High School Vamps" or something. I don't know... But here are a list of details that they have changed...
Details about the book will be first, followed by the television fuck up.

Okay, so I think I'm about done for now... I'm SURE I'm missing a few things, but I think y'all get the point...
Can't wait for next week's episode! XD
~HK~ p.s. I GET TO WORK THE DOMMIN SHOW!!! p.p.s. Does anyone have $225 so I can meet the man of my dreams? i.e. Steve Gonsalves... *sappy sigh*
My icon pretty much sums up my mood right now, although if you were to look at me in person, you'd never know. I'm pretty freakin' stoic when I type, lol. So, let's see... Reasons for me to be insanely cuckoo right now (note: not all of them are good >.>;; )...
1) I just got approved to work the Dommin concert in Orlando on October 15th! *squee* Dommin is one of my favoritest bands... and OMG Konstantine is TOTALLY hot! So, I'll be promoting them, as they're one of the opening bands for The 69 Eyes (whom I haven't looked up yet... but should probably look up at some point before the show!). I'm SO looking forward to meeting Konstantine again so that I can express my undying affection for him... Sucks that they live over in LA... Hmmmmm... LoL!
2) I *STILL* haven't got a job yet down here. This. Freaking. SUCKS. Ugh! I had THREE interviews with Ruby Tuesday and nothing! *grumble* I'm waiting to hear back from Books-a-Million still... I'm going to head down there tomorrow, since Terry said she was still waiting for her GM to get back to set-up a second interview with me... [insert anxious freak-out here]. Sooo... yeah... I still owe $75 on my phone bill, but I paid for last month's, so I'm good on that for now. I need to pay my godfather my first month's payment for the car, though... $250/month for 12 months.
3) Lisa *STILL* hasn't paid me a damn CENT for the Void Car... I sold it to her (I only asked for $500!). She asked if she could make payments (Yeah, I know... Only $500... WTF?), so being the nice person I am, I said 'Sure'... Well... Still haven't gotten any of those alleged 'payments'. So I emailed Becca (her daughter) and she got my address and said she'd get her mom to send me some money. Because I'm kind of screwed right now on money. Which leads back up to Cuckoo Reason #2... Ugh. I hate thinking about this... On to #4...
4) October 17th, there are going to be three Ghost Hunters leading a few groups through the Ripley's Believe it or Not museum on paranormal investigations... STEVE GONSALVES is going to be among them. *droooool* He's my future husband if things with Konstantine don't pan out. RoFL. Plus, he lives just up in MA, which is only a 20 hour drive... I'd totally move up there for him, though, and be the happy wife of a Ghost Hunter and we could have lots of babies. XD *ahem* Aaaanyhooooo... So yeah. Steve Gonsalves will be here... NEXT MONTH! *squee* Kinda excited about that. Plus, Tango and Dustin aren't all too shabby looking, either. ;)
I really can't think of any other real reasons to be going cuckoo... The first and fourth are my main *squee* reasons right now. I'm kind of TOTALLY bummed that I missed Dragon*Con last weekend. Steve Gonsalves was there, too (along with 31 other celebrities I wanted to meet!!!... Jason Momoa, James Marsters, Tom Felton, Paul McGillion... to name a FEW)...
Well, I suppose I should go finish writing in my ACTUAL journal. I've been more on top of writing in that lately than I have with this, lol. Shit, I don't think I've even updated this thing since I moved. So, in case any of you actually READ this, still... I moved...
Down to Florida. >.>;;
I know it's a bit far away from Washington, but I'm really happy down here. I'm staying with my godparents and my godbrother. Aside from the lack of a job, things are absolutely amazing down here. One good thing about it - I'm getting some color on my skin! Ha! My legs are still rather pale, but I'm working on them, I swear! LoL.
Anyhoo. I'm chattin' it up with my bro now... So I'm gonna go finish that journal entry and get back to work on my Meria story. YaY!
Seriously... I wish time would hurry up! I just want to be down in Florida, finding a new job and getting settled into my new life. I've got one week left of work as of tonight. This thought kind of depresses me. I've been with The Ram for so long now, I'm going to miss it something fierce. As much as I love it, I *really* don't want another job in the restaurant business. I love the people there, more than I like the work itself, though.
This move is definitely what I need, though. A fresh start. No more couch surfing, no more fast food jobs, no more staying for all the wrong reasons. I intend to make something of myself this time.
Well, I started this post with the intention of writing something, but that's all I can really think of for the moment. Huh... Ah well.
I'm so bad at updating this thing. Blech. Ah well... So long as you all find out at SOME point that I'm still alive, you're happy, ya? Here, let me answer for you: Yes. :P
So, yeah... I'm moving. It's a big move, all the way down to Florida. I'll be living with my godparents. They offered me a room, bathroom, car to use til I get my own, help finding a good (GOOD) job, and help with college... Yes, it's the same offer they gave me a little over a year ago. I'm FINALLY going. *happy sigh* I'm going to miss the Northwest and all of my friends here. And I'm going to miss my mom! She's always been there for me... Granted, I have no memories of her before my parents' divorce when I was 12, but she's pretty much been all I've had for going on 9 years now. :(
Down in Florida, I'm going to have the other half of my family for me, though. My godparents, obviously... My grandma (dad's mom) is 2 hours north, my uncle (dad's bro) is like 20 minutes away, and my dad will be like 7 hours away in Georgia. It's going to be crazy. But I'm looking forward to it. :)
On another good note, I had THE BEST night of my life on Sunday. I went to the Lacuna Coil show here in Seattle with a good friend of mine. We had VIP passes, so we got a tour t-shirt, tour poster, laminated VIP passes, a general admission ticket, and a meet & greet with the band before the show. *SQUEE* So I've got pictures, autographs, and all sorts of swag from the show. I fell in love with one of the opening bands (Dommin). We had front row standing spots since we were in first... I was literally pressed up against the stage... I rested my hands on the speaker in front of me, and just so you understand how close I was to the band, Kristofer Dommin accidentally stepped on my hand! It didn't hurt - either my adrenaline was pumping WAY too fast for it to register, or it wasn't very hard... Doesn't matter. It was awesome. He gave me a rose. :D He's hoooooottttt... And so is Konstantine, the keyboardist. *drool*
So then there was Seventh Void... They weren't the best, but I really liked their bassist and the guitarist that was playing near me. He kept smiling at me and gave me his guitar pick when they were done. Then he signed it. :D *heartmelt*
Ooh! Here! Pics! ( Collapse ) So, on a funny note, the three people who beat Rob and I to the show in the VIP group I ended up knowing... The first girl I recognized right off of the bat because she'd brought her cat, Little Scabbia... Last time I saw her was at the Lacuna Coil show I went to in Portland. So that was pretty nifty, lol. Then there were two kids from Surrey, B.C. The guy looked familiar, and so did the girl, but I hadn't met her before. Somehow we got upon the subject of CreationFest (a big, Christian rock festival at The Gorge)... Turns out, the guy (Kory) had attended the same Fest that I had with my youth group... back in '01 or '02! Me and the girls had been playing a vicious game of Egyptian Rat Slap, where we would SCREAM every time we slapped for the cards. Well, the Canadian guys from the camp next door came over to see what was going on and we all ended up hanging out and getting pictures and such... Turns out Kory was one of those guys. I have a picture of him in my photo album! What are the freaking odds?!?! LoL!
Aaaaanyhoo... I'm really hoping this LJ cut works. They never seem to work for me. *le sigh* And my ice cream is probably un-melted by now in the freezer, so I think I'm going to go grab that and walk around the living room a bit. Sitting with my laptop in my lap for long amounts of time is not very nice to my legs... They're probably nice and red right now, lol. Aaaand now I really want to go write something. Blah.
What a lovely subject heading, don't you think? Ha! It's quite fitting, though, much to my chagrin. >.>;;
So let's see... I suppose a lot has happened since I last updated. Wow. Almost a month has taken place. Where has all the time gone?? I feel like it's been a pretty dull month, though. Nothing is really popping into my mind when I try to think of important or relevant moments from the past few weeks. I had a fairly decent 4th of July. Got called in to work in the morning with Jordynn. We never did, again. Saw The Hangover instead and otherwise bullshitted around the Kent Station for something akin to 5 hours before our SECOND shifts started. On top of the entire 'we really shouldn't have to be here' drama, my teeth were killing me, so I got sent home since it wasn't busy enough for an expo AND a busser. Armand expo'd and Jen (my boss) gave me some Bacardi 151 to rub on my teeth with explicit orders to 'Rub this on your teeth, go get drunk, and get some sleep.'
So I did.
I left work and headed straight to Becca and John's house where most of my friends were having a BBQ with fireworks of the street variety. Everything was fun and dandy there. I had a bit of vodka with my Amp energy drink (my 4th energy drink of the day). Then I got a text from Alan, inviting me to come chill on his porch with him.
So I did.
His porch has a BEAUTIFUL view of the Tukwila valley and the hills beyond. I managed to miss it due to getting slightly lost, but he says it was amazing watching the entire valley and horizon light up with fireworks. Whilst there, I saw a really pretty green moth. I took a picture of it, but am far too lazy to upload the photo right now. All in all, it was a nice night, by the end of which I was happily drunk and not in pain from my teeth. :)
I got sleep and then had the next TWO days off from work. I was a 9am on call on Sunday, but Nicholette didn't me, so I prowled around the greater South King/Pierce County area with Jordynn. We delivered energy drinks, ate out at Zoopa (which I will DEFINITELY be going back to once I can eat properly again) and then said our goodbyes since she had to get ready for work. By the way, Ethan (Jordynn's two year old) has stopped calling me 'Tasty' and I am now 'Hoo hoo'. I freaking love it. LoL!
So let's see... I guess that just leaves yesterday. Aside from the dentist, it was a complete and utter waste of my day. I got in to see the dentist at Kent Station and explained to them my situation (i.e. massive pain, lack of insurance, but I'm just waiting for the form since our insurance lady doesn't get back from vacation til Tuesday)... They got me in and checked me out. Apparently I've got some kind of gum disease, but it's no big problem. Lots of younger people get it, I guess, and the dental assistant said it's not uncommon to see on people with permanent retainers (i.e. me!) because even with floss threads, etc, it IS hard to get everything out of there. She prescribed me some mouthwash and then they told me that they were going to cut me a break on the exam and x-rays. *OMGWTFBBQTHANKGOD!* So I paid $10 for the mouthwash and then once my insurance kicks in, I'm going to go in for a deep cleaning which will fix up the gum problems and yeah... *Whew!*
In other news, I found out yesterday that my stepdad REALLY wants grandkids. He told me that I should inform Alan that he needs to marry me, buy a car, buy a house, and then we need to start working on grandchildren for my stepdad. *anime fall* Riiiiiight... Uhm... I'll get right on that... I'm not even DATING Alan, why the hell would I tell him these things? I don't want to scare the poor guy, lol. We're just friends. That, of course, doesn't mean I don't have the hugest crush on him... but still. Just. Friends (for now). LoL!
And now, I do believe I hear the washer calling my name. I'm actually doing laundry on the day I PLANNED for once. And I'm not forgetting about it after I've started it so that it takes hours upon hours to complete. I think I may go take a nap once I throw my stuff into the dryer. Hmm... Or maybe I'll *finally* watch The Gift. Or maybe I'll just continue to sit on the computer, bored out of my mind until I get ready to work at 5:30. Ugggh...
Ugh #2 - Today was pretty worthless. Other than the fact I got to see the movie "Up" finally, yeah... Pretty damn worthless. Got called in to work the patio this morning... Not one of us ever clocked in (three of us total). We went to the movies instead. Then scheduled a dining room shift tonight... They called in three people for the patio for the night shift, as well... and two of them reeeally wanted to work, whereas I was kind of pissy and really didn't want to be there. So I and the third patio girl left, one patio girl remained and the last patio girl took my shift. *shrug* Waste of a day. Oh, and did I mention that it's COLD?!
Ugh AND Yay! - Went to the gym with Jordynn. Had a GREAT workout... That's the yay portion. The 'ugh' portion will come tomorrow when none of my muscles agree to work for me. Hahaha. At least it's a good 'ugh'?
Ugh #3 - I'm still single. Guh. This sucks. I don't want to stave off boys for a whole year, Cindy! I like boys! :( LoL!
Aaaaand before I go to sleep... Here's a YAY for all of you Browncoats on my list (and I know there are quite a few of you!).
I know it says that the review is not for people who've already seen the series, but it's just such an awesome review and it mentions some awesome parts of the series... It just made me smile the whole time. I totally Twittered the weblink to Jewel and Nathan. Yup. I'm THAT pathetic awesome. Haha!
Okay. Sleep now. Got tomorrow off, so it will be a day of lounging and laundry. Yesss... I'm liking this plan already! Mwahahahahaha!
