This is interesting...

Transposons. Cut-and-paste DNA. No, literally. They were discovered back around 1983, and they're still being studied today -- people, the point I'm getting at here is cut-and-paste DNA. Any idea who I'm going to apply this to?

Also, transposons can be dangerous: they "can damage the genome of their host cell in different ways", including disabling or damaging the genes as they enter and leave them, or stopping chromosones from duplicating properly.

It's still better than eating the brains. :P

Heritage!

I just found out that one of my relatives is a comedy actor who has starred in films and guested on TV shows, including My Family. It's amazing what you can find out with a Google search. ^_^

Feast your eyes on my family crest:

Uh... so, well, our family first became rich and noble and spiffy and stuff back in 1066, when King Wossname came to the throne, Harold. Or was he the one who was killed? >.< Anyway, our particular branch is less-than-rich at present. :P And we have two versions -- an English one, which is the one with the hands on it, and a Scottish one, which is blue with little shapes on it like banana splits. O.o And our name means "foot of iron", which is... odd. O.o Plus, though our name is English, most Pettifers who were famous or lucky enough to get themselves into a Google search lived in this one state of America, though I forget which one.
