Hogwarts Castle

With a heavy heart I am sad to announce that Castle Hogwarts will be closing its doors.
It’s amazing that this community has been around for five years and kept going a bit even when the series ended. But I am sure many of you saw this coming in the past months with the lack of activity. Lanna and I discussed this for a long time and we think that this decision is for the best. I took over the community almost two years ago when the same thing happened and managed to breathe some new life in it for awhile. I’ve been a part of this community for the past four years and I will miss it greatly. If there is anyone interested in adopting Castle Hogwarts please let me know by emailing me or leaving a comment here. Keep in mind that you will also inherit all of the sub-communities of the site as well.

It’s been a great experience these past two years serving as your Headmistress and my pleasure too.

Until we meet again, this is just a farewell.

Good Morning Students!

Things have been quite dead for the past few months and I've been racking my mind to figure out how to get things jump started again. I fear that we may have to close down the community if things don't pick up. Lanna and I had long conversations about this for a few weeks and we've decided that this upcoming Fall term may be the last session if things don't improve.

But the term won't be able to take off if we don't have teachers. At the moment it seems that all of the professors have vanished. =/ All that we have right now are the contests that Lanna and myself are going to be posting. This means that we are in dire need of professors, so if any member of the community is interested in teaching respond to this post ASAP. I shall be posting the contests that I have planned up shortly.

Both Lanna and I hope to see you around the castle.

Welcome to week #12 of the Winter/Spring Term here at castlehogwarts!
Okay people we have until the end of May until this current term ends. University kids are out and should have a bit more spare time to do a few easy assignments. We need to see an increase of activity here or we might have to consider closing the doors of this community. I’d rather not see the latter occur but it has crossed both Lanna’s mind and my own in recent weeks.
So head over and fill out the recent activity poll! We need more answers!
As well don’t forget about our Spring Scavenger Hunt! The current due date is May 13th but I may extend it until the end of term!

Our newest contest is a photo scavenger hunt!
Your task is simple, find the items from the following list, take a photo, post the photos in a separate post, then comment here with a link to your post! Five points will be awarded for every item found for a total of 100 points. Extra points may be awarded for creativity! (Faculty, as in Professors, will receive half points per entry, but may also earn extra points for creativity.)

-You may not use images you find online, images from the books or movies, or images from any Harry Potter-related site.
