The good wife

THE GOOD WIFE ATE MY BRAIN.

i can't add a new header cuz my Photoshop is down, but I'll make a new one ASAP, or even look for one around on LJ!

I fixed what was wrong with my PS. I made a header.

This promises to be a long term fandom. I'm in love with Will and Will/Alicia, of course. And did I mention I love ALL the cast?

Han Solo WTF

Eurovision song contest

It was the first time that Italy was into the contest in 13 years, so I was very curious to watch it. I knew nothing about the rules of voting. I was stunned at the beauty of the show and very enthusiastic about the rule for which you cannot vote for your own country. I thought the spirit was the right one.
Well, you can tell how disappointed I was to see that most countries voted for their neighbours or ex political co-regions (ex Soviet Republics, ex Yugoslavia). Most of them seemed to vote for political reasons, not for the songs. The result is there: a poor song won.

My personal faves included Sweden, Italy (yes, but i think it is a quality song), Moldova, Greece, Austria, in this order.

Cross-posted on my FB and on the eurovision song contest official site.

Men and fandoms

I remember there was someone on my flist being a fan of Dean from supernatural and Christian Kane. Today I met an Italian friend I hadn't seen in fifteen years and she told me she's in Rome to meet Jensen cuz he's a friend of hers and Kane is an even closer friend.
I was astonished, thinking I had read about them in my flist when I was here more often. Well, not that my friend invited me to see Jensen with her, and I didn't ask anyway. But it was funny.

it's been an awful lot of time

I don't know where to start. I ditched my glorious Livejournal for so long I don't have a clue about whether there's someone who still will read me.

I go on with my every day life, and that's the main reason why I don't come here anymore. A hubby, work and mum are a little too much for  a person who was used to just mind her business.
Of course there's the huge reason i don't have any good fandom to share. After the hurricane that a Tv show (Without a trace) has been in my life, there was only an empty space left. Then, there was the enthusiasm of building a blog, to learn to use the internet features, to use new programs, to make fanart, to even write fanfic! I don't know how it happened, but a tight group of people came out a sa result: friends I met for real, with whom I discussed, spent days, fighting with a few, saving the best of memories of many, staying friends with others.

Then the long awaited tragedy of the loss of my father. He was old (therefore the adjectives I used), but I miss him every day more. There is a 'before' and a 'after'. I never wrote a Danny/Martin fic anymore after he died. A year later I was getting married.

My WaT fandom is long gone. I tried with the going back to my past: first the Star Wars stuff ( Han Solo and Empire, mainly), then the Star Trek TOS things. It was oldies, but i could share everything here, and make icons and challenges on those themes.

This year things changed a little bit: I went back to my Spandau Ballet fandom. They are an important pop band of the eighties, very popular in Europe and Australia. I could not share my passion here. Nobody knows them. They reformed in 2009 and toured to this day. So i registered on Facebook. There there are a lot of people who love them and I can do what i like most: to discuss, to talk about it and to post pictures.

In the 80S:

This is NOT a Farewell. There's some news about my beloved 'Agent Danny Taylor': Enrique Murciano is beginning a new adventure as a surgeon in the next ABC TV show 'Off the map'. It will start next January. I'll make sure to be here when that happens.

In the meanwhile, I hope to get back to the icon challenges, fanart and personal updates. Waiting for new wonders to come.

Happy Birthday

Happy birthday

Dear veronicaluv ,

lots of wishes for your birthday. I'm sorry that yesterday i couldn't come and celebrate your b-day as you deserved.

Thank you for your sweetness and cleverness and for the beautiful moments you gave me through your writings. (as in the incredible case of my American trip back in 2006, when I spent hours and hours in the airports and on the planes in the awesome company of your Danny and Martin).

Love

Happy Holidays

Dear friends,

I wish you a very happy Christmas and joyous Holidays.

I love you all. The ones I could meet for real and the ones I so hope one day I'll meet and hug.

This is a photo a friend of mine took the other night here in Rome, in Piazza venezia (for the ones who were with me in 2007, you might remember it). I just worked it a bit on PS, but the tree, the cars and the monuments are real.

Love, R.
