The musical theater nerd in me could not be restrained once I got my hands on this audio. It’s so Elric brothers coded
I suppose one way for me to clean out my chrome tabs is for Google to forcefully close all of them at once and there were too many for me to recover them all
Goodbye, fic tabs I had open to reread later
Goodbye, random tabs of movie rec Google searches I had open
Goodbye, blog tabs I had open so I could look at fanart in them without scrolling down a million years in my thousands of Tumblr likes
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
Sorry folks but no one's ever gonna come up with a better network name than
Bravest little signal of them all.
that awful feeling when you dislike the endgame pairing in a show and you go online and find out that your opinion is the outlier: 🫠
The new Odyssey adaptation has inevitably gotten people talking about a Muppet version of it, and they’re frequently suggesting Kermit as Odysseus, Miss Piggy as Penelope.
I’m sorry but that’s thinking way too small, hear me out:
We need to have Miss Piggy as Odysseus, and Kermit as Penelope.
Think about it… who’s the more fickle, prideful, warlike one in that relationship? Who is absolutely ready to go ham, at a moment’s notice?
It ain’t Kermit
Miss Piggy tied to the mast while Statler and Waldorf heckle her from the sea
But who is the single human cast member in this tale? Who gets to put in an Oscar-worthy performance alongside the Muppets and what role are they to play?
There’s no single human, everyone is a Muppet except for one scene. Circe, played by Janice, turns Odysseus’s crew into humans who still behave animalistic and are all played by Academy Award winning actors.
No Athena is a human actually because it's funny
Robin the Frog should be Telemachus! It also fits because most of Robin's appearances in the muppet show is him trying to live up to perceived expectations of himself and from what I can remember of the story Telemachus is trying to live up to the expectations of being Odysseus' son
perhaps we go a little evilstyle tomorrow. as a treat
y'all gotta listen to this marius
just wait for him to do the thing
you’ll know it when you hear it
i like when you’re in the grocery store and you see people buying eggs because they always pick up the carton and then open it like it’s a metal briefcase full of cash involved in a drug deal and they’re confirming it’s money. “don’t bother counting it, it’s all there. 12.” then they always pick one up and inspect it like, “yeah, it’s grade A alright…the real deal.”
People are checking to see if any of the eggs are cracked you walnut
my siblings and I watch anime with our dad, and he struggles to remember the names of characters from shows. a few summers ago we all watched Jujutsu Kaisen as one big happy family. A standout character for all of us was Nanami (of course).
Now my dad casually refers to Nanami as "the accountant guy" which is understandable.
However
He also refers to any character from ANY anime or cartoon who bears even a passing resemblance to Nanami as "the accountant guy" or "the one who looks like the accountant guy" and the result is a charade of (a) trying to remember who the hell "the accountant guy" is, and (b) trying to figure out which character he is referring to from the new show we are watching
Below is a list of characters he has referred to in this manner
Nanami (JJK)
Clock King (Batman the animated series)
Charlie Nash (Street Fighter)
Scar (Fullmetal Alchemist)
Its also funny because many of these characters are the furthest possible thing from Accountants and each new one gets even more ridiculous
