if female top nudity weren't viewed as inherently sexually explicit. oh brother. I would be letting those puppies hang like you wouldn't believe

the thing is I would be okay with being viewed as sexually attractive while topless. like a shirtless cis man can be a considered a hunk beefcake eye candy etc but it's not by nature r-rated. usamerican society at large is able to understand that toplessness can be sexually appealing but is not in itself a sexual act when a man does it. if I could be just casually topless on a hot day or something without the little flashing light over my head saying think of the CHILDREN I would be getting minoan with it

Without fail, every time a woman is talking about how she does not want to have children and never wants to be pregnant and how medical professionals, romantic interests and family members keep trying to bulldoze her decision and keep expecting her to change her mind because motherhood is something that is expected of all women and it is abhorrent to think a woman could not desire it, a random mother spawns in the comments to be like “Well, actually, you never know! I didn’t want children and then I got pregnant and I realized I love being a mama and I have five little babies now! Could happen to you! 🥰”

Sister, keep that to yourself or make your own goddamn post, you are ignoring that woman’s central concern and belittling her, you don’t even think you’re doing it. Formerly childfree women who ended up having children and loving it are like detransitioners in the sense that there is nothing inherently wrong with changing your mind about having children or realizing you were mistaken about your gender identity but immediately weaponizing your indecision to tell people that the barriers to healthcare and the violations of their bodily autonomy and the way society ignores that person’s wishes is actually okay because you were wrong. Some people do know themselves.

I think it’d be fun and nice if people could get normaler about the simultaneous truths that penetrative sex can have a lot of weight behind it from a multitude of factors - cultural, societal, personal, etc - and that it really ideally shouldn’t and we could all be so much more normal about how people choose to engage or not engage in penetrative sexual activities. and fiction could compassionately and curiously explore these things. specifically thinking about f/m pegging rn and how it’s either a face-value ‘girlboss emasculates man because that’s inherently what it means to be penetrated and I’m not going to examine that at all’ moment or a ‘haha funny! see the joke is the man was penetrated’ or we turn around and go ‘actually there are no assumptions being made here whatsoever and neither party is bringing any sort of baggage to this encounter nor purposefully exploring and subverting taboos and presumed roles for various reasons etc don’t make it weird.’ goes for a lot of activities and dynamics but yeah. idk this prob isn’t worded well and makes no sense I’ll delete it in a sec

I highly recommend developing a tolerance for polite low level conflict, not just because it will serve you well when employers or whoever try to impose bullshit on you with the expectation you'll fold rather than expend energy arguing, but because it will make you a genuine asset to your friends and allies whenever they're in positions where they're less able to fight for themselves.

the first and most important step is learning to stay calm when someone with authority tries to pressure you. take a breath, think about what you actually believe, and respond in your own time. if they try to brush past or talk over you, you can say "excuse me, can I think about that for a moment. I'd like to give you a proper answer." self esteem. you're both just upright monkeys.
