In the wild, parrots spend a great deal of their time foraging (looking for food). It is a large part of their lives and something not often fulfilled in our homes. This community was created for the purpose of sharing creative ideas for getting our parrots to forage in the artificial environment that we have created for them.
Foraging toys can be made from safe household items as well as purchased from many pet stores (online and physical). We will share our ideas for making these toys and review those that we've bought. Anything related to foraging is welcome here, especially pictures! I only ask that you post only one picture (no more than 500x500 pixels) and put all others behind an lj cut.
