Did Craig Ferguson just make the joke I think he did?
Terrence Howard was on promoting The Brave One and he joked that he did it hoping to have a love scene with Jodie Foster. To which Craig Ferguson replied that Terrence was probably barking up the wrong tree, if you know what he means.
At which point the audience kind of laughed/ohhh-ed in that "Did he just say that?" manner. Howard played it cool, although it seemed a little discomfiting for him. He kept up the joke good-naturedly.
Like, okay, it's not like it's a particularly well-kept secret, but I feel like it's also agreed that interviewers won't go there. I'm sure he wouldn't have said anything if Jodie herself had been the guest star, because she tends to shut down that line of inquiry quickly.
Not that I think he was doing anything terrible, just...I'm surprised. Huhn.
