Nurses Of Canberra

Hi all! Ive just joined so I thought it would be fair to introduce myself. My name is Rosemary and Im a third year nursing student at the University of Canberra. Im currently doing a rural health placement at the QBN district hospital. I have been rotated through the general ward- which is moslty cardiac, med/surg as well as the emergency department and the operating theatre. It was just by chance that I found this community, and im so glad that I did! I hope to talk more with you all in the future!! :)

I live in Canberra but I am not a nurse. I have worked for doctors from the adminsistration side of things for nearly 4 years. I am just about to start studying next week at CIT. My career ambitions are focused on natural therapies. I hope you don't mind me joining. I will soon be studying anatomy & physiology, health & nutrition and a few other subjects related to most medical professions.

Have you promoted this community in canberra ? Maybe we could generate more interest by advertising in there...

Not much at the moment, but hopefully it will grow into something good.
I'm a student nure studying at the University of Canberra. I'm currently 2nd year prac and 3rd year theory. I've done a placement in communtiy and my next placement is at Goulburn base.
My life long dream is to eventually work in the flying doctors and in rural health. As soon as I finish studying I'm planning on going bush.
The aim of this community is to get to know some more nurses in the ACT area and to here and share stories. Both good and bad, cause I feel this is a very important way to learn.
