And please bring friends. Where they live doesn't matter nearly so much as whether or not there's a Canadian-made show they've enjoyed or are enjoying nowadays. "The more, the merrier" is not merely a slogan, but the truth of this.
Wondering what it means for the "made in Canada for Canadians" portion of Alliance-Atlantis' back catalogue, including shows such as Due South...? Any thoughts?
Someone on my Twitter feed posted a link to a You Tube video of a Canadian beer commercial, and it reminded me of this series of Labatt's ads from (I think) either the 80s or 90s that played around with the word "la." For example, you have a guy who is at "la party" eating "la cocktail wieners" with "la rottweiler" who spots "la goddess" and offers her Labatt's beer.
The problem is, I cannot find any clips of those commercials anywhere. It's like I'm imagining them. Does anyone remember them? Even better, does anyone know where I might be able to find them online?
And I see we've been hit twice in as many days. I've reported this latest instance to the LJ staff, but we need to get something set up to weed out the "bad apples". That way, we can get back to discussing Republic of Doyle, InSecurity, Flashpoint and other past and present homegrown favourites.
