[Amongst the miserable scenario of water, floating cabins and weird ass sharks in the water, there is an echo. It's not from the loudspeaker or the softspeaker, nor is it psychic - yet it rings out softly for all to hear. A phrase, perhaps a thought from the Devourer that lurks just outside the barrier or the sharks that occupy the water; whatever it is, the sentiment is clear enough.

they'll get used to it. :)

Zombies and other... things in the water have caused it to look pretty ugly pretty fast, and it's taking on a nice shade of greenbrown. It probably won't be very fun if Camp Fuck You Die stays like this forever, huh?

Once night arrives and an eerie quiet falls across camp, there is a slight stirring in the cabins - almost as if they're moving on a current. Looking out windows and off of roofs, the residents of camp can see that they are indeed moving. But not on a current or down any sort of riverbank, but in a slow circle.

Eventually, the circling speeds up, faster and faster as if camp itself is a giant whirlpool! No, it's probably more like a toilet, what with the way the water smells full of undead and corn. As cabins, the silo, even Marcy herself are pulled into the center of the waters, the smell worsens. It's a strange smell, though, somewhat earthy despite gross, it almost smells like a...]

*tonight, if you look out the window or venture up onto the roof of your cabin as it floats about camp, you might catch a glimpse of a certain psychic pokemon floating and flying about over the moonlit water. One might even suspect that it's having fun...*

[maybe you were sleeping, maybe you just stepped into your cabin, a friend's cabin, the mess hall, wherever! But wherever you are, you might be stuck there for a while. Anybody trying to leave their cabin or glancing out the window will notice that the waters have suddenly risen dramatically, and the structures they're in? Are now floating aimlessly around camp]

[well, at least the cabins will be dry! Perhaps you can make it to another cabin if you're lucky enough to be able to fly, teleport, or if two cabins float close enough to one another...

but you probably don't want to swim. Because there's something down there, waiting...]

[Today in one of the drier sections of Camp is a young girl staring up at a tree. You may wonder why until you notice the dozen or so stray cats that appear to be grouped near the top, avoiding any flooding. If you happen to pass by, you're more than likely to be roped into helping her with a rescue mission.]

Um, hi. Can you help me rescue them? I think they're afraid of the flood, but that's not a safe place to hide either.
they used to call me angela lansbury.

[Tonight, should you brave the flooding, THERE ARE STEAK SANDWICHES IN THE MESS HALL.]

Steak sandwiches! Yes!

[Maybe you should leave him alone with his feelings. What are you doing tonight?]

((I'm not really running this unless you want to thread with Santo, so otherwise use this as a night in the life. I'm slowing down, will pick at stuff 'til I go to bed and then pick up tomorrow!))
Is it too forward if I use tongue?

[today (maybe tonight for you vampires, who need time-space), in one of the less damp parts of Camp, there is a lizard teen playing frisbee.

by himself.

he's using his tongue to catch the frisbee.

maybe you should comment on that? or ask if you can join--if you don't mind a slightly damp frisbee.]

((Victor is deaged! His giant monster arm is now normal.))

[You know that potential flooding you were warned about? In the mess hall, you may notice some water on the floor. Everything in general feels damp, soggy. The pond has now visibly expanded, well past anything that could be considered "safe."

The speaker system crackles and screeches, as if it's experiencing some feedback, and then—]

So. You may have fucking noticed that the pond is rising like crazy. Before anyone even asks, no, this is not our goddamn fault. I am throwing someone on that shit, okay. It's been a theory we've had for awhile, but since that bastard outside can't get in through the front door, he's trying to get his ass in through other ways. The term for it is "seeping"; it's like a fucking assimilation, where it lets its influence transform regions in order for it to get a foothold. It's only been a theory for ages and this is the first time any of us have actually seen this shit, so that's a fucking thing. It's like . . . pieces of worlds from beyond coming through.

We're trying to contact your camp director for assistance and shit, but I am sure you are all fucking familiar with her modus friggin' operandi by now. If anyone else has some means to contact that woman, do that. Otherwise? Batten down the motherfucking hatches, because this destroyer is a dick.

[NOT REALLY RUNNING THIS because Livejournal and whatnot. We'll tag around a bit but please use this as a mingle post!]

itp: housing.

[ not in the middle of Camp but probably somewhere off to the side strategically close to a field of robot cows are two metalbenders. one has green hair; the other has the remnants of a cough. a few of the cows are nothing more than some robotic entrails lying on the ground, the rest of their carcasses seemingly missing, though there is a single, smooth wall made of metal standing up in the snow. others cows are stacked on top of each other, waiting for slaughter.

one of the metalbenders coughs and stares at the wall. ]

...what rooms go in a house?

((Lorna is collapsing from tired and will pick up tomorrow! Erik is slow-tagging forever.))
what am I going to do with you?

[Deep in the bowels of the library, this Hero has amassed a small pile of books atop one of the corner tables, flipping through them with a notebook on hand.

He's looking at the 'Mastering the Art of French Cooking' with a dumbfounded look, before sighing and picking up 'Cooking for Dummies'.]

Who knew there were that many steps to making a bouillabaisse?

WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

[ON THE NETWORK]

Not to alarm anyone but we might. Might be getting flooded within the next couple of days. I don't know anything concrete yet, just figured people would appreciate a head's up so:

* If you are living underground you may want to get out, just in case.

* If you are storing things underground, you may want to get that out too.

I actually have things stored that I need to move, so I won't be here to answer any questions not that I could anyway, since there's nothing to know yet. Hopefully this is all a false alarm and nothing will happen.
