Summer isn't over yet, but talk of ICC has already begun. Never leave planning until the last minute when there's a party involved....

The Pink Mafia is throwing a party at ICC, and this is one bash you won't want to miss. Brave the wilds of the city and make your way to the Safe House Bar on Friday between 5:30 and 7:30pm. There will be food, soda, and of course, a Best Dressed competition with prizes donated by the Safe House.

All proceeds will be donated to our charity of choice, the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center!

My assumption that you would all be moved over to the new us-society-pride Camarilla email list (us-society-pride@cammail.white-wolf.com) from cam-pride was incorrect.

The cam-pride email list no longer exists. The replacement list, using the spiffy, new Camarilla Society naming convention, is us-society-pride.

If you wish to subscribe, you'll want to go to http://cammail.white-wolf.com/mail…. I apologize for any inconvenience. On the upside, subscription is automatic if your email address and membership info are up to date in the CRD.

Hi! This is your moderator and community liaison, Chuck Childers. I'm writing this to note that the cammail list name has changed from Cam-Pride to US-Society-Pride. The name change is part of a Camarilla name standardization initiative. I'll miss the friendly gooniness of "cammunity," but time marches on.

Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, they did not transfer the cam-pride email subscribers (which is prob'ly most folks reading this, plus some others) to the new list. This might be something they're still working on (hopefully). I would do it myself, but I can no longer see the old cam-pride list. However, if you are impatient, you can sub to the new list the normal way, by going to http://cammail.white-wolf.com/mail… and following the instructions there.

UPDATE: Scotty was just automatically subbed, so things are looking up. You all will prob'ly receive some sort of subscription notification soonly.

I've been told that the opening for Pride Society Liaison will be advertised soon as part of a combined solicitation for several Liaison openings. Stay tuned. As was noted waaaaaay back when, I was just on board to get this thing (re)started and to hand it off to someone younger and prettier (or at least with a life less impacted by change). In the meantime (which has been much longer than I originally presumed), I'm just doing the most basic of liaison functions. "Hi, I'm Julie..."

I'm going out on a date on Friday. Very nice guy. And - given my (lack of) history in actually dating - possibly a sign of the End Times.

(Yes, I'm sure that's of great interest to the commun... society.)

So, topic: Camarilla members dating within the club. Yes, no, whatever? Advice? Discuss.

I know EClipse is on everyone's minds, but it's time to start thinking ahead and SAVE THE DATE FOR OCTOBER 27!

On October 27th Pink Mafia will be celebrating one great year of Fun for Everyone with a birthday bash at Milwaukee's own Safe House!

The party is Friday of ICC from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, so you can squeeze it in between games! There will be food, drinks, and of course, cake! The cost is $25 and proceeds will benefit the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center, and you can purchase your tickets at http://www.whatistheguido.com/pink…

Hey everyone --

The Pink Mafia is throwing a party at the Safe House in Milwaukee during ICC. Proceeds benefit the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center.

(Friday from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, free food and drink! You know you wanna come!)

Anyways, we are considering adding a silent auction, a small one (2 to 5 items), and so here is my question:

What kind of items are you willing to spend money on? We're talking in terms of starting bids between $25 - $75, so if we have an auction it'll be reasonably big ticket items.

Some examples are:

A hand made quilt with a pride/raindbow theme
A custom made corset (value up to $300)
Rhinestones (like, diva-dra queen style)
Dinner at a restaurant with a local food critic (only useful to local residents, but still cool)

Anyways, thoughts or feed back welcome. Please note, this is NOT an ICC or Camarilla event. It is being hosted by people who just happen to be Camarilla members.

So, we gonna do something?

I promise I'll keep my meat in my pants this year... at least in public.

What goes on in my hotel room between, some cute gay or bi guy and The Impaler... well, no promises. ;)

Have we got any updates for events at ICC? Who will be there? I mean, I'm all for putting a little rainbow sticker on my badge so people can identify me, if we don't end up having any formal events. I'd just like to know who else to expect to see there and hunt down. If there's anything I can do to help plan a party/event/somesuch, just let me know and I'll be happy to...
