So after years of playing Tales of Symphonia and swooning over Kratos Aurion like everyone else, I decided to look at the voice actor behind the character and fell in love with Cam Clarke's work. It's been five months since I've become a die-hard fan, buying almost everything Mr. Clarke has been in (Honey and Clover, Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood, Eternal Sonata) and a fan of his music. Everytime I hear it, I swoon because of his voice and can't wait for the day I meet him in person.
I have lots of respect for him, especially since he's so open about his sexuality (although I wish he wasn't---he is one handsome, elder man in my opinion), and have been inspired by him to re-pursue my dreams of voice-acting in the video game and anime industry. If anything, I would like to work with him one day because that would be so freaking awesome!

I must have been sleeping under a rock not to find this community!
Okay, well, since I'm new, lemme just introduce myself. I'm Dee, a huge Cam Clarke fan!!!! When I was younger, I watched Lion King 2 and LOVED the song "We Are One" though at the time I didn't know who sang it. Not only did it sound so great, but the meaning was good too (I even used it for a school project once).
Then, a few years later, I bought Jade Empire and totally loved Sky. I searched both IMDB and the credits of the game itself and found out that Cam voiced him. Okay, so I knew. Then, my friend Julie told me about this super awesome game called Tales of Symphonia. She told me her favourite character was Kratos Aurion, and when she came to my house and I showed her Jade Empire, she'd all like "Sky sounds like Kratos" and I said, "Well, he'd voiced by Cam Clarke." And she's like "Yeah! That's who plays Kratos!" Then I looked up on IMDB all his roles (finding out that he sang one of my favourite songs in a Disney movie ever, and played Simba in Kingdom hearts). Ever since, I've loved him and his work. I've only had a few "favourite" actors (I don't consider them my favourite unless I like more than one thing they're in).
I was a little disappointed to find out he was gay (all the great guys seem to be LOL) but now, I don't mind. I respect him for being so open and even singing songs about it (he was right, there aren't a lot of songs about people who are gay or lesbian, and is that really fair?). I really wanted to get some of those songs for my Ipod or even just to hear them, but I can't seem to find any and the clips on the internet are so short. Anyone able to point me in the right direction to the complete songs?

I literally just squealed in delight just now.
I'm currently playing Kingdom Hearts 2 and I'm in the Pride Lands.
I thought the voice of Simba sounded VEEEEEEEEEEEERY familiar, but not like the Simba in the first or second movie.
Out of curiosity I checked IMDB.com (I love that site) and my suspicions were correct.
Cam plays the voice of Simba! ^____^
HURRAY!
...now I just want him to burst out into song. >:3

I just thought of looking this up and I can't believe there is actually a Cam Clarke group. I just had to join. I have been a fan of him for many years. All through his video game voices. It started with Liquid Snake. . . . ahh Metal Gear.
Anyway. I just wanted to post and say thank you for starting a community to a voice actor who actually does a good job and seems to actually enjoy his work.

Ok you diehard Cam Clarke fans, I have a question for you:
I was on Amazon just looking for anything Cam Clarke (DVDs, posters, books) and up came two book titles -
"Humor: How to Be a Total Californian"
and
"The best two years of our lives (Occasional paper)"
both written by a Cam Clarke, but I'm not sure if it is "my" (hehe for the lack of a better term...) Cam Clarke that wrote the books. I even looked all over the web trying to find out (IMDB, Cam's own website) for the answer without any luck. :(
So can someone out there please tell me if those two books are indeed written by him??
Thanks! I appreciate all of your help...
