Introduction

Hello everyone, I just recently stumbled upon this group and found it to be great since I, too, live in Logan.

I'm a 19 year old student (turning 20 in February), majoring in accounting and marketing. I haven't had LJ for a long time (almost a year i would say). I was referred to LJ by a friend, and I have loved her ever since. I usually don't do much around Logan except for spend my time at the USU Library studying or at the gym. I came from Lebanon in July 2006. At first I did not like Logan at all, but the more i spend time here, the more it grows on me. I hope to get to know some good people around here! Merry Christmas everyone!

Utah State Women's Gymanstics

No one ever posts on this thing, so I figured why not?

January 20th is the first home meet for USU gymnastics. It's held at the Spectrum at 6:35pm. The first meet is USU vs. BYU. Usually a pretty good meet.

I'm not quite sure how much tickets are, but you can get them at the ticket office in the Spectrum.

If you've never watched gymnastics before it can be quite interesting/amusing to watch. There are 4 "events" starting with Vault (the girl runs and goes over the vaulting "horse") and Uneven Bars. Then Beam and Floor. (Floor's the big one. Seriously worth watching)

Anyway, just thought I'd send a shout out for it.

Congrats to any USU graduates collecting their diplomas and perhaps fleeing the valley this weekend. Any fun summer plans anyone?
There is a ton of traffic lately, and many small vehicles crammed with clothes and things making their way out. Its interesting to see how things change in the summer. Then when it gets normal, the surge of students comes back.
Good old Logan, I guess.
Hopefully it will be a nice summer. Its been beautiful after the rain.
If anyone finds this community that's moving to Logan, introduce yourself. Glad to have ya!

PS
My line of work makes me drive all over. There are some really pretty little drives, not that far away, if we have the same idea of pretty. I love seeing the birds on highway 30 (200 N going west) There are huge tall birds, ones with long long beaks, tall ones, canadian geese... I think they're so pretty. I also drive out around Clarkston and Newton, and the spring baby animals are so fun to see.

Another Boring Introduction

Hello Fellow Residents of Cache Valley,

My name is Cori. I'm 21 and I go to Utah State University. I am majoring in English Teaching and my teaching minor is in Sociology. I've been an LJ user for a long time, but I've only just stumbled upon this community. If you want to know more about me, just go to my info page because I'm feeling that post-finals-laziness right now. If you want to read my actual journal, just comment on it to be added. It is friends-only. I've browsed some of your profiles, and I think I'm already acquainted with some of you. You'll remember me if I've ever been in any of your classes. I'm the crazy girl who likes controversy and can't shut up. Good times.

XOXOXO

i'm in =)

hey everybody! i got my acceptance letter from USU yesterday. i was just wondering if any of you could tell me about the school.

i'm still trying to decide where i want to go, and in fact i'm planning on visiting Logan in two weeks. i realize classes may not still be in session (20th and 21st?), but maybe there's a visitor's center or some sort of self-guided tour i can go on... ? or if not, maybe you kind folks could tell me what sort of places i'll want to check out. any help would... help.

oh, ps: i'm from San Jose, CA, where i've lived all my life. i'll be transferring as a junior (most likely) and i'm planning on getting a Social Sciences teaching credential. could anyone help me out with the easiest path toward this? BA in History / Soc Sci then major in education? something else?

Introducing Loraine.......briefly

Hello All
It doesn't seem that this community is very active, but what the heck, it's for Logan folk and since I'm a Logan folk now, it's fitting. Anyway...erm...why is that you can never remember anythig witty or interesting to say when put on the spot? When I'm at home being myself, I can think of a hundred funny things to make my roommate chortle, but under pressure......a void of everlasting blankess fills my incompetent head. So enough with the rambling.
My name is Loraine(duh) and I'm a freshman at good ol' USU. Currently my plan is to major in Psychology with a double minor in English and Biology(it might change to English and French though, we'll see...) and go on to graduate school and eventually somewhere along the line get a doctorate in Psychology and be a clinical Nueropsychologist and maybe even a college professor. But that's like 20 years down the line to even considering, so yeah. I love to read and write and sing and lots of generic late-teen Mormon girl things but above all, I like to listen to people and know their stories, where they come from, what they love, what they believe, what they desire, what they want, what drives them. Good old corny(but meangingful) stuff like that. And with that, I will bid you all adieu and head off to class.
Later~
