Ah, my girls! They are beautiful and perfect and I love them dearly and I hope they never grow up because once they do there will hordes of lads chasing after them and I canna have that!
Least of all Englishmen (espcially ones that claim they're not English but German), Spaniards, Irishmen or strange Highlanders from neighboring clans.
Or anyone from this clan.

I like Mal fine, I've known him for ages. And I really have no problems with him getting married to Skye.... but the gatehouse? Really? That's where yer going to take my sister? Treat her like some back alley wench? GOOD LORD! Friend or not and Da giving his blessin' or not... I was sorely tempted to flatten him for that!
Then there's the blasted English-German-son of an enemy! Leaves her sobbing and inconsolable while he goes off to get himself hanged. He's a selfish idiot who is not at all deserving of my baby sister. YET FOR SOME GOD FORSAKEN REASON SHE LOVES HIM! What did I ever do to deserve this turn of events? Never mind the fact that he really is a good kid, who's smart and generally loves her... he still doesn't deserve her!
And now... NOW! there's that damned Spaniard, who comes in here all charm and grace and tries to woo any lass he lays eyes on, now he's after Seren! How dare he!? Like Seren would even think twice about him? With his seedy background. If he even thinks of playing with Seren's feelings, I swear I will gut him and send him to the four corners of Scotland!
Oh god, he's flirting with her again! I have to go stop this.... wait, IS SHE BLUSHING!?!?
Why dinna anyone show me this brilliant and awe-inspiring thing before? I have gone me entire life without knowing about it, and it makes me wonder what other great things I might be missing out on? Good news I have a new hero.
So as I understand it (I mean what Seren told me) is that when using a journal you must write in it everyday. I dinna think I can do that everyday (after all I don't talk nearly as much as Seren.. or Skye fer that matter), but I can do it some.
Today I spent most of it consoling Mac, who had pis-er-upset Addie. She gave him the cold shoulder for the day and he moped around a bit.. wondering what he could do to make it up to her. I didn't know what to tell him so I took him hunting, which didn't work to cheer him up.. the pissy wanker.
On the way back, though, he picked some wildflowers for Addie and I found a patch of white violets, I had to take nearly every one for a proper bouquet, but Rose seemed to enjoy them; like always.
Anyway though when we got back Mac and Addie made up and were disgustingly lovey again... which meant Mac abandoned me (like always) and I was forced to spend time with Seren and Skye, who talked insistently about how cute Mac and Addie were.
I hate being surrounded by girls.
Except Rose. And that's because she doesn't get mushy, not because she's pretty or anything. Even though she is.
