Bus Riders

Dear fanfic authors,

first of all I’m sorry if OT posting isn’t allowed in this community, but there’s no other way for me to do this; just delete this if it isn’t appropriate.

I’m a fanfic reader and occasional fanfic writer myself, so what did I pick for my thesis in communication sciences? Fan Fiction, of course. I designed a survey to find out more about our writing habits and media use; it takes about 10 minutes to complete.

If you could go here and fill it out, I’d be forever grateful. Of course I’ll publish some of the results at my journal in about a month or two, so you’ll know what happened with your answers.
The survey is completely anonymous; I have no way of finding out who gave which answers.

Please, please help a fellow fan out. It’s only ten minutes for you; it’s a very important part of my work for me.

I don't know if many people still frequent these pages (I got on the bandwagon pretty late!), but I was hoping someone would be able to point me in the direction of a fic called "Through the Wire", I have been reading lots of Bright/Ephram and it has been recced many times and I found it posted in bus_riders in 2003 but it was just a link to the LJ of the author (misswindy) which is now dead (the LJ not the person!). 

I have a feeling that amelia_key is the same person, and I left her a comment but I'm not sure if she uses the journal anymore, there doesn't seem to have been any activity in the last two months or so. 

Does anyone know if she has a new journal? Or if the story is archived anywhere (I have checked Seeking Grace, and it is not there)? Or if they had it themselves would they email it to me (I don't know if this is allowed...) 

You probably realise from this rambling request that I have exhausted any way I can think of finding it, so I really appreciate anyone who can point me in a new direction.

PS, I have been perusing many of the fics here! They are fantastic, I just wish I had been around back in 03/04!

Here's an interview with Greg Berlanti, the creator of Everwood. He's really appreciative of the fan effort to renew Ev, but says that now we should concentrate on getting seasons 2-4 out on DVD. If you read the interview, you'll see why, and also the kinds of things we can tell Warners they should release the DVDs.

Everwood is considered "on the fence" and therefore needs support (if I'm not just typing this to myself).

Her track record is pretty good. Four out of the five shows that she has waged the campaign for have come back for at least one more season.

I found this sitting around on my computer, and thought I would share. It's set during the summer, while Hannah is in Minnesota, or was it Michigan? The North Pole? Okay, well Hannah was away and Ephram was in Europe (Might as well have been the North Pole). It was written just as the newest spoilers had come out (Hannah and Bright's kiss at the airport was speculated, and obviously I was a bitter B/E fan)
