Why do you think your character would work in this setting?

Charlie is a flux-in, but once she realizes she's actually somewhere safe, she'll be okay. She'll want to learn about the people she's surrounded by and will deeply enjoy the fact that she's no longer the only person to exist with abilities.

How do you plan to expand their CR?

It's going to take her a bit to get out of her own shell, because she has so many trust issues, but once she does she will have no problem talking to people. She's missed being able to interact with others without having to be suspicious of them or putting them at risk. So having friends when it's actually safe to have friends will be exciting for her.

What will your character do for work?

Bouncer/Bartender at The Lotus

Hey, dad.

Wish you were here. I know I say that every time, and I mean it every time, but this time I mean it more than I thought possible.

I mean I really, truly and deeply wish you were here. This place...it's so strange. It's quiet. Not like...no noise but it's Quiet. I don't hear Them. I don't feel Them anywhere, or a feeling that I have to run and get away and that I shouldn't trust anyone. And I know I'm not dead, because you're not here. The weather's far too pleasant to be Hell.

I was told people come in from different times and all, so maybe I'll luck out and you'll still show up? I haven't seen you in sixteen years, but it'd be nice to see you again.

I have to go. There's a lot to explore, here. I'll keep you updated, even if you're never going to read this.

Love you, dad.

Charlie.

It was kind of a shame that Charlie was away for a weekend. She was sure she'd missed an opportunity to spend time with Bill. He'd asked about her plans, she said she was going away to visit a friend, and he'd been fine with it. They'll find another weekend, he said, where they could go rent a cabin for a few days and get enough food where they didn't have to leave it. And she was looking forward to that.

For now, she was in Houston, watching one of her best friends perform on stage. And Richie Tozier was hilarious. So she'd enjoyed all aspects of the show, one that was happily heckler free, and now she was waiting as the lobby cleared out. She was supposed to wait for Richie and Eddie, because they were going to dinner with a friend of theirs and Charlie stood in the lobby, off to the side as people found their coats and left.

She was missing Bill, absolutely, so while she waited, she sent him texts. Asked how his weekend was going. How visiting his friend was going and if he was having fun. And yes, absolutely letting him know she was missing him. It's a few texts later when she starts hearing a familiar ringtone, every time she fires off a text to him and eventually, her messages consist of:

wait

where did you say you were going this weekend?

because i just finished watching one of my friends perform a comedy routine on stage in houston and i swear i keep hearing your text tone.

But that was just coincidence...right?
