Hope you have a great one!

...and I couldn't be happier about it. It's starting out part time, but with good potential to go full time in the future. It's a place I was interested in working at once I got here. My new boss is nice, and everyone I've met there so far is friendly. It's a refreshing environment to someone that has worked in the corporate world most of his life.

After lots of phone work, I think my phone will finally get here Monday. I had to speak to a supervisor, who contacted UPS directly to solve the problem, which really shouldn't have had to happen in the first place. I received a good deal on the package - which is why I'm willing to deal with the shipping snafus.

I finally was able to score a couple of wireless guitars for Rock Band before I left for Atlanta. Holly and I are having a blast with them. I'm going to see if I can find the mic for it today. I'm looking forward to downloading new tracks for the game, as well as the Pixies album in June.

I'm not so sure about my car though. It was acting a little funky before I left Florida. Now that I'm here, it's REALLY acting funky. Ah well, I just wanted to make it up here, and I did. Time to get in touch with a mechanic.

The other snag that has come up is with Sprint. I just signed up with them yesterday on the web. I received a free phone, and activation by doing that. Great. The problem happened with my billing and shipping addresses. When I received my email shipping confirmation, it was all screwed up. So I called Sprint back and I thought I had it fixed with them until I called UPS, who had my old and new address mixed together for shipping. Sigh. I just called UPS back and the CS rep is going to try to have them hold the package so I can just come and pick it up - here's hoping.

Other than that, things have been good. I'm happy to finally be up here with Holly. She gave me a street atlas to help me find my way around, a journal to write about my adventures here, and a personal note that made me smile from the inside out, as well as brought me back to a simpler time. I have a really awesome girlfriend.

Now I'm off to move stuff around.

I just finished signing papers with my real estate agent. My house will get a sign put up tomorrow. I'm happy with my agent, and her commission was very reasonable. The listing price we came to was lower than I originally thought about, but with the market the way it is now, was acceptable to me.

I have a few more things to sort through and get rid of, then I'm out of here. It's a few days later than I originally planned, but that's ok. I'm looking forward to starting the next chapter in my life and seeing Holly again.

The final assault on the house began today. I had most of my furniture picked up over the weekend. I'll set up one more pickup for this Saturday. Rooms left to do are the kitchen and garage, which shouldn't take more than a day or two to get done. After that I can begin to clean the house up before I list it.

Things to do today:

1. Call real estate agent and set up appointment.
2. Get bed listed on Ebay and Craigslist.

You never know how much crap you've accumulated until you move. Sheesh. Good news is that I'm starting to see the progress I've made. After Saturday, a good bulk of furniture and other stuff will be out of here, then it will be all downhill. That will feel good.

I just got back from dispersing moms ashes. The day turned out as well as I could’ve hoped for. I hugged my Aunt and told her I loved her. Going to be a short post as I’m mentally tired.

Today I'll be dispersing my mothers ashes according to what she wanted. When she passed away last year, I decided to disperse them the following spring as that was her favorite time of the year. Well spring has arrived and it's time. I'll be moving in about two weeks, and wanted to do this before I leave as well.

I don't know how I'm going to feel before, and how I'll feel afterward. All the drama I went through with one of my Aunts a few weeks back isn't going to help either. She wants to be there when I disperse them. I feel she should be there if she wants to, I just hope all will go well, and no new drama will happen. This will be final closure for my mother, for myself, and my family. I just want this day to be peaceful.

Mom, I realize you warned me before you passed on. I just wasn't ready for what would happen after. I've come to terms with it though, I have to move on and and let go. I know you'd want me to as well.

I can't remember who posted the info about it originally(I want to say xany), but for those of us who loooved MST3K, Joel and crew have started a new project called Cinematic Titanic. I just bought the first DVD - The Oozing Skull. Go out and buy it now! It's about $16 and worth it. I'd love to see them come to Dragon Con.
