IEEE Broadcast Technology Society Distinguished Lecturer, Peter Siebert, will speak at the ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium 2026, taking place from 30 March to 2 April. https://dbs.abu.org.my/
As part of the session on “Sustainable Broadcasting in the Age of Intelligent Systems,” he will present his paper titled “The Emissions You Don’t See: Analyzing the Carbon Cost of Viewing.” The presentation explores the environmental impact of video consumption across both broadcast and streaming, offering valuable insights into the hidden carbon footprint of modern media delivery.
