Yes, you heard that right — you can now sideload apps from wherever you are! Even better, without being tethered to AltServer you never need to worry about your apps expiring again 🥳

Plus, easily manage Apple's 3-app limit now that you can swap out your apps anytime! No AltServer, no problem.

I fucking detest this current NZ Government with a passion.

Not because I'm Trans, but because I don't give a shit who is!!!!!!!!!

And NOBODY, I repeat NOBODY, is going to convince me that I'm in more danger around a Trans person than I am around a HUGE fucking part of the cis male population.

6+ decades on the planet has proven that time and time and fucking time again!

But if you use a LLM to write your code, and only look at it, when it doesn't do what you want, you are not training to become a better programmer, you are training to become a better "incoming code quality inspector".

But there is no training-path from incoming code quality inspector to good programmer, because you are (deliberately) not investing the 10k hours.

At the core it comes down to passive vs. active vocabulary: You only grow your active vocabulary by expressing yourself.

Since my last $DAYJOB was canceled 12/2025, I'm working full-time at IzzyOnDroid – without any pay. Living on prior savings, I'm now slowly running out of funds. So if you like our service & support, and want it to stay at the current level (and above): any help is appreciated! This can be donations (see: android.izzysoft.de/help?topic – everyone $/€ 1 per month, and I'm covered) – or part-time remote freelance jobs (apart from my IoD experience, I'm an Oracle DBA).

One of the best road closure notices I've ever seen. Back story: the people of the villages along the Brenner pass motorway are really really sick of having heavy vehicle traffic thundering past their homes 24 hours a day so one of the local mayors (acting as a private person) notified the authorities of their intention to demonstrate. On both carriageways of the A13 autobahn. A court correctly upheld the right to freedom of assembly so the Brenner pass, one of the few north-south routes for traffic to/from Germany and Italy, will be closed for the day over the Whitsun holiday and drivers will just have to deal with that.

Needless to say a lot of people are very upset about this, but most of them seem to be in Germany or Italy rather than in Tirol. The people of the area need a plan and they need promises for traffic reduction over the medium term, particularly after the Brenner base rail tunnel opens. Right now I can understand why they feel nobody gives a shit about them.

In this post, through my recollection of a very funny event in a Nigerian court, I explore how language use and language dominance carry more than syntax in them. Power, justice and history converge in the colonial court, and justice loses.

Ascent on the less touristy side of Harder. Top ridge with a lot of very confused people not understanding what is this running thing and why would anyone want to do it. And descend nearly missing Habkern and back through an unknown path on the North side of HarderGrat. That last bit needs to be altered though. It’s a wide gravel road with no views.
