All The Lines Crossed

It's probably time I updated this profile - after all, I think I've been using the same one for several years now.

Of course, not many people actually read profiles; it's something done to assuage idle curiousity. Some like to fill their Livejournal profiles with images, animations, reams of text. Others don't bother, whether to retain an air of mystery or because there are simply more entertaining things to do.

If you've found me somewhere else on LJ, chances are you're here because we share a similar interest - a tv show, a tv ship, a book, or even a firm appreciation for cynicism. I don't talk much outside my friends-lock these days; the public posts all tend to be things I've written/made, or opinions I felt like sharing. My LJ is an odd mix of the open and the personal; when I'm posting in communities or other peoples' journals, I tend to observe common courtesy - after all, those are someone else's space, not mine. In here, I tend to be reasonable and thoughtful, while also being reactionary and opinionated. I'm a cynic at the best and worst of times, with a tendency towards speaking my mind... but only when I can be bothered.

I also have beer here, for anyone who's thirsty.

For someone who's rambled in here out of sheer curiousity... good [insert time of day here]. I'm brokenmnemonic. I write the occasional fic, produce the occasional vid, make the occasional icon. Most of what's here is orientated towards the revised Battlestar Galactica series, but I also chat about other shows - the majority of which have been cancelled.

Everything else is in a constant state of flux.

Icon resources: The grand sensei of all things is etilia76. Icon textures have been snagged from divine_desire, elanordh, justfreefallin, forbiddenstorm, dearest, heartthepretty, _iconographer, liars_dance (aka fraoch_icons), lil_brokenangel, lookslikerain, meleada, univers, urbanstrokes, presents, risha_art, shellybear665, tcg1026, toybirds, and xshoot2thrill. Icon masks were made by gypsy_blue and creamuts. ghost_sheep provided a lovely selection of textures, masks and brushes.

I've also started using some superb HDTV caps as sources for my icon bases, all carefully prepared by extant.
