    Missed opportunity and to expensive

Written by (AFOL , gold-rated reviewer) in Hungary,

At first I was happy that there was finally a cheaper set specifically for kids, but then I was quite disappointed.

    Positives:

    - quality of the minifigures
    - quick/easy to build
    - the basic idea is good, but it's not developed, a 4 year old kid can still add 2-3 extra parts to the model

    Negatives:

    - too expensive compared to the amount of parts, this set is more like half of what it costs.

    - almost does not resemble the original spacecraft

    - it falls apart easily, especially the tail part

    - the whole vehicle consists of 1 large special part, which cannot be used for anything else, max for a microscale battleship

    Alternative

I recommend buying the $10-15 Microfighter version (75363) these same figures are in that set too, minus the astro robot. And expand that set, build an N-1 starfighter from it. I did the same thing, instead of the large special part, I used two small 4x6 inverted slope pieces. You can get the rest of the parts on Bricklink, quickly, and you'll have a nicer, more usable model for half the price.
