Lost has given me the go-ahead to decide what happens with Frodo and the Ring. I have some ideas, but I'm not up for writing them out just yet. I'd like for Legs to take on the big folk party and decide how that ends up... and I'll write up the last part of aftermath and the joining of the two parties.
Once we have everything tied up, written out, and posted here, we'll give a week for anyone to state any objections for whole or part of the tie-up. I'm willing to work with ya. :)
I've also got some ideas for what happens /next/, too, but I'm going to let those simmer a bit. :)

(Reposted in a new thread, for those who might have missed it. Please reply.)
Okay. Legs and I figured out some things together.. I hope I remember things well enough. SO.
We were figuring things would go like this...
Split the party into two groups, so those wanting to have fighting RP with a ringwraith could, and those wanting to flee one (or at least, at that time) could, as well. Makes sense, given canon source. ;)
So, Fio'd found the roadblock via downed trees. Someone with tracking skill (Legs or Aragorn) would have figured out that either by accident or design, one of the wyvern-like winged mounts the ringwraiths use had done the damage.. Or at least, something big with talons and a beak. n.-
The choice would be to either make a route up into the jungle until the pass higher up could be found, or to figure out how to clear or cut across the felled trees to continue on. The party also could decide to leave their mounts behind and climb over the trees, if they so chose. However, the time wouldn't be enough to either cut them down or get everyone across. This was a plot device to get the party divided.
That said, I'm assuming Frodo and the other halflings would be across. If one of the others would like to have had their character go with the halflings, need to note that in your reply.
Either way... Legs? Want to describe the battle outcome for those left behind?
The halflings would have to go through the jungle, with the threat of another winged rider searching overhead. Thankfully, the jungle would give them cover, but I was also planning on them bumping into something big and ferocious in there to have to sneak around, on top of everything else. WHEE!
Anyway. I figure somewhere in either a near-miss or possible scuffle with either the jungle creature or the ringwraith, Fio'd be found out to be Fiona, which would make Winnie gape. ^^ And being the nasty player I am, I'd have her knocked out or get a shoulder whacked out of alignment as she stares at someone who looks like her mother instead of fighting. ^_^;
Ahee. And, Sam and Frodo can say whatever they'd do with the situation. You two can also say whether you'd like it to be the jungle creature or the ringwraith. If the latter, I would like for Amrulan to wake up and slay the blasted thing. (I am woman, hear me roar. o/~) unless Arwen decides to come with, and I'd be fine to give her the winning strike. ;)
Either the party can meet up on the pass, close to the plateau, or not. I really hadn't thought it out to /that/ point, but I did think that only Sam and Frodo should go on to the actual point of the Ring-Toss. n.-
Give opinions, thoughts, flames. Whatever.
And Frodo, please let us know what you've decided to do, Ring-wise or elsewise. :)
Thanks, all!
Hey everyone...just wondering if folks are still interested in posting to this journal or if we should simply discuss how we want to tie things up so nobody gets their alts messed up. :)
Please respond to this post at your earliest convenience.
Thanks!
~Sammy~

Once the encampment had been disassembled and the company fit to take to their mounts, Fio directs the way from the campsite and up through the main path which leads to the shrine at the Plateau of the volcano. The song of tropical birds, roosted in the thick canopy soon out sang that of the seagulls, the salt of the ocean air giving way to the scent of ancient trees and wildlife.
"The road will seem pretty level for awhile, but we'll have some sharp turns soon enough, as the path stays on this side of the volcano. It's only towards the summit that the road spirals. It's best to keep to the path, though. The wood is not tame by anyone's standards, I think. There are markers at points of the road, to warn of past areas which have been.. well, a bit too wild, I should say." As he walks, to the side of the camule, Hal, Fio continues on about the road, its history, as well as some of the more unique scenic spots. "Actually, I call them markers, but originally, the obsidian statues were put down to ward off the more violent of creatures seen in the area. ...Don't worry too much, though. I think it's more 'mystery' for children and tourist. I haven't seen anything more ferocious than a boar cross the path." With a shrug, Fio hikes on. At various points and turns on the path, the road's graveled makeup turns from a whitish sand to a gritty black floor.
"It's a day's ride to the summit. We'll need to camp at the shrine overnight, but hopefully there's room enough where we can have a roof over our heads." Without another word, the guide unties a pouch from Hal's side, and munches on the trail mix within, before taking a swig of water. ...And breakfast was only thirty minutes ago.
Fio's thought: Best be prepared!

The breakfast/morning scene is more or less finished. If you feel a need to RP out something during that point, go ahead and do so with a new thread, then link it into the thread, similarly to how I did so for the on-game parts of the scene.
Depending on attendance online for the game today, or not, I will start up the next scene there. Otherwise, I'll post the starting pose for the scene tomorrow morning. Please let me know where your character is in the order, going up the road. I'm going to assume 'Fio' is going to be in front, since she's the guide, but that doesn't include scouts. (Wyn will be on one side or the other of Sam, that Frodo is not. F&S, just let me know where you two are, and I'll place her as so.)
If I don't hear back from folks, I'm going to @GM and place you wherever I want to. Muhahaha. ;) So try to get back to me on this, hm? n.-
