i read it like JUST this past month-ish and it was SO GOOD but i’ve looked through all my bookmarks and like 75 pages of my read history on ao3 and can’t seem to find it.

i can’t remember very much about the plot but what i distinctly remember is that steve gets vecna’d.

the thing that’s so memorable is that this wasn’t tagged and the author did SUCH a good job of hiding all of the symptoms with legitimate reasons that i had absolutely no idea until like… ¾ of the way through the story when steve, nancy, and robin were (i think) at the creel house and one of them made a particularly mean comment about steve’s intelligence?

i remember thinking ‘wow, i dont think she’d ever say something like that…’ but then like 3 lines later it’s obvious what’s happening and it’s honestly one of the greatest 'needle drop’ moments i’ve ever seen in a fic.

i think it was a pretty long fic, part of me feels like it might be a time loop fic but i’m not 100% on that.

i am just so so desperate to read this again and i can’t figure it out!

im so deep in the steddie hole it makes me actually want to write.

the problem is i can’t even remember how to come up with an idea much less write a whole fic…
