War Council Mingle
Jul. 10th, 2026 07:32 pmWhat: An in-person strategy meeting for the coming battle with the Bishop, as described here: LINK. You do not need to have responded to the network post to have your character show up. They're welcome to have heard about it second-hand or just be walking by while it's happening. This is intended as a collaborative meeting and will be mingle-style. Post top levels, thread-jack, and have fun! When the mods put up additional plot info later this month, I'll post a link to a Google Doc with summaries of the strategies characters ICly discussed during the meeting so that anyone who was at the meeting has a general idea of what their character might be aware of from listening.
Where: The Courtyard in the Castle.
When: July 11th
Characters Involved: Perseus and anyone who shows up to the meeting.

[There's not terribly much Perseus can do to make the Courtyard a proper meeting space when he's been working on other projects, but it's suitable for their purposes for now. When it seems enough heads have gathered, the older man steps up onto the edge of the fountain and claps his hands a few times for attention. Perseus is a man on the smaller side of average with a lean and muscular frame, dark eyes, and dark hair shot through with a few streaks of silver. He's left his coat to one side for the moment, and stands before the assembled in a dark button-down and trousers trimmed with gold.]
Greetings all, and thank you for coming... or wandering by, as the case might be! Happy to put faces to names as we talk. There are enough topics to cover and enough minds with ideas that I think it best we begin with smaller discussions. This is what we know at the moment:
The Bishop is an enemy. He is a Herald who means to destroy the glass cases we woke in and end the game he's been trapped in for a very, very long time. He has said he will murder all Overseers to achieve that goal. So... not great! Certainly not for us.
[He offers a rueful smile and an expansive shrug.]
From the description of his strategy, he intends to attack and besiege us. Now... whether we can take him at his word remains to be seen, but there are things we would want to do regardless of any specific actions he might take. The way I can see it, we need people and groups to brainstorm on the following:
( Discussion Topic Descriptions )
Now... that's a lot of words said from me. If there are things I've missed, speak up and add them to our list of topics. For now, there are four sides to this courtyard and the center here.
[He offers direction that those interested in each discussion topic should gather as follows:
Preparation of Provisions and Storage Thereof - North
Identification and Fortification of Strategic Locations - South
Communication Over Long Distances - East
Identification of Key Personnel - West
Use of Constructs and Lost Souls - Center
Additional Ideas - Speak up!]
