Thank you for considering a donation to Bluelight Communities.

For over 25 years, Bluelight has offered something rare – a free, judgement-free space where people who use drugs can access honest information, share real experiences, and look out for one another. No agenda. No shame. Just a community built entirely on peer support and harm reduction.

For many years, we were able to fund the costs of running Bluelight through offering paid services to academic researchers. In the last 12 months, however, there has been a lot less interest in these services, primarily due to health research budget cuts, particularly in the USA.

While we still provide these services, we now need to diversify where our funding comes from. We hope that those of you in the community that can afford to support us will consider helping.

We commit to allowing free access to our content and our communities. We will never put our content behind paywalls.

We are a registered charity run entirely by volunteers. We have no wealthy backers and no government funding. Our constitution requires us to put all funds to use exclusively towards our mission – to advance the health and wellbeing of people who use drugs.

Every dollar that you donate helps keep our servers running, our forums online and our communities safe.

Any donation, big or small, will help keep Bluelight around for another 25 years.
