Just a quick note to let you know that we are having the reopening of the shop this coming saturday 9th August 2008. Yep that is right your fav occult store, Blackcats & Broomsticks, is back and more purple than ever! Come on down and see the new digs at:

We are hoping to have a sausage sizzle and writer/poet Darren, author of On Dark Wings present and signing copies of his prose style poetry. It will also be the first chance for everyone to see the select stuff that we brought back with us from the United States. We didn't bring back a massive amount of stuff however it should serve as a preview of just some of the great items that we will be bringing into Australia.

Just wanted to let you know if you were interested that the author of On Dark Wings has offered to attend our Grand Re-opening on 2 August 2008 and do a book signing. So for those of you interested there will also be a sausage sizzle! Hope to see everyone there. We will confirm the details of the re-opening closer to the date.

Hi all,

Just a pretty quick update regarding the shop. Looks like from all accounts the shop will be reopening on the 2nd August 2008 at the old place where Gems & Jewels used to be so should be fun.

We made a heap of contacts at the show so hopefully after some careful customs research we will have a heap of new stuff not previously in Australia which will be great.

Amongst other stuffs we will be getting in some great quality grandfather sage, in booth loose leaf and smudgestick varieties.

Now on to what we brought back with us....

- heap of new jewellery cast in both silver and bronze. I am going to try and get my hands on some more silver chain for the pendants. Will also need to get some leather thonging. I hate manufacturers chains. They never make them long enough.

- dream catchers (all in traditional colours, so no fluro pink and orange), made by native americans so it supports them too. Also got an interesting very colourful south american dream catcher and a rattle. Was surprised to get them through customs! lol.

- And last but not least some Oberon Zell statuettes. We finally managed to get a hold of the mermaid for and order and we also have 2 beautiful mellenial gaias for sale too. Will definitely be good.

Well so it turned out not to be such a short post. Oh well.

Just a quick note to tell you that yes indeed the rumours are true, Blackcats & Broomsticks is closed.........for now. Mark and I have decided to take a much needed break and so have closed the shop until such time as we get back from the States (hopefully with a swag of new goodies). So what is happening with the shop?....

On or about the 19th of July we will be commencing renovations on our new shop. We will be reopening on the 2nd of August. It is likely to be quite an event with a sausage sizzle to celebrate the day. So where are we moving to?

3b/263 Queen Street Campbelltown (Nice and close to the mall!). Some people may know it as the old Gems and Jewels place as well. It is the yellow painted complex behind the old post office.

A couple of days ago we had a lovely young author by the name of Darren Neilsen come into the store and leave us with a few copies of his debut poetry and prose book called "On Dark Wings". We at Blackcats love the evocative imagery that the book promotes. Below is a copy of the cover art offering an insight into the book.

Just a quick note to let you all know that we have had some new stock come in from our trip to the Sydney Trade Show. We have a great new selection of Metallic prints. While we did replenish our stock of dragons, wizards, fairies as well as our great Luna. We have also got a heap of new pewter jewellery.

We also hve a bunch of other stuff on the way also including crystals, new books, Sun catchers, crystal ball holders, mood rings, gods and goddess statues, and much much more.

Just a quick update as to some new stock.

We have just received a delivery of celtic leather pressed wristbands and a couple of journals and a couple of BOS's. The journals and BoS's are made out of all natural materials and plant matter (rather than leather, though we will have some of these in soon too).

We have also taken stock of a whole heap of crystals and some gorgeous God statues, though a few of these have already walked themselves out the door.

Hi all,

I know that this is not particularly B&B related but here goes.

We have 4 beautiful maremador (Marema Sheep Dog cross Labrador) puppies for sale.

3 Girls and 1 boy

They have a lovely temperament and are all vaccinated and wormed. The only reason we are selling the pups is because we simply do not have the room for them. These guys are absolutely beautiful. They look like labs with a white thick coat. They should be a breed unto themselves.

The pups are being sold at $300 ono.
