i know that the anatomy is really messed up but hey for what reason a nightmare would care about anatomy of it's appearance? anyway. I used the vildhjarta album cover for the background cause it is really cool and it kinda inspired me.

Colt Seavers had a bad fall, broke his back, broke his spirit. He's pissed off and he's furious that he missed something in one of his stunts that shattered his spine-
Well, he was mad, now he's just confused. That guy has his face. That guy has his fucking face! Rock things are singing to him! What is happening!? You want to clone his organs?! Why!?
Even on the other end of the universe, to a guy that has his exact same face, Colt is still just a throwaway extra, using his body as a backup leaky space blob.

Something I do find lovely about the first 4 Murderbot Diaries books (can’t yet speak on all of them) is:
- Murderbot chronically finding new scientists/travellers to claim as “clients” (whether paid or not) like one of those sheepless herding dogs that goes around finding sheep (or anything else they can herd like a flock of sheep). Like it clearly has a protect humans instinct and a desperate need for enrichment.
- Given its general lack of self awareness and unreliable narrator status, there’s no way in hell Murderbot is aware it’s doing this.
Murderbot: I just want to be left alone to watch my shows. I care nothing for these humans. I hate having clients.
Also Murderbot: *noticing unaccompanied humans that have nothing to do with it at all* Oh look, clients.

since this is being posted i believe a month after the last part im gonna say that yes they've been at this for 4 weeks and grace categorically refused to engage with a weird dream riddle and delegated that in favor studying of his new front yard decoration until frustration finally broke him
