I had typed up an entry earlier, but I accidentally deleted it because I thought I had posted it, yet I apparently had not. So I'm going to try and re-write it.
1. I have been watching Digimon Adventure 02 in it's original language. I now have a Ken/Daisuke plot bunny. It involves sex and humorous antics. And I'm a 'effing Kenyako shipper (that is someone who ships Ken/Miyako). Let's just say that I've always had a soft spot for Ken/Daisuke even though I think Ken and Miyako is destined for each other dammit. Though my Ken/Daisuke tendency for some reason is more Digimon Kaiser/Daisuke than Ken/Daisuke, but this fic will not be that.
2. I got nothing done today other than arse around and watch anime. Tomorrow I have to get stuff done dammit. Which I will. And I need to hunt down my cheerleader for
ladiesbigbang because I need cheerleading. I think I'll shall send her an email tomorrow.
3. Got a birthday card from my grandmother on my father's side that came with a letter and a hundred dollar check. It turns out that my grandmother has framed the owl cross-stitch I sent her and put it next to a picture of my late grandfather (who passed away last October). Turns out that his college mascot was an owl and he was the one that collected owls and not my grandmother. I feel that it's somehow appropriate that things turned out this way and that my urge to give her that as a gift was the right thing to do. Thank the gods I got to go to a Samhain ritual after he died. Otherwise I wouldn't have had the chance to honor him as I'd like. Plus I honored him at the sumbel that I attended in December. I didn't know him well, but I still feel sad for his passing.
4. This weekend is Memorial Day weekend. I...am not sure what to think about that because Memorial Day has always been an important thing where I live. Basically I live six miles away from Gettysburg, which is where the Gettysburg National Cemetery is and every year there's a parade and the bands from my school district take part in it. I've been in it as part of the elementary school band and in it as part of the middle school band.
I would've done it in high school too, but I quit band for complicated reasons which mostly dealt with the fact that I could not handle being a band player at football games. I'll do parades, but I will not do marching band for football games. Also I think I was going through a hard time at age fourteen too. I kinda wish I didn't quit band though because I miss being able to play with others, listening to them and picking my cues from others and keeping the beat and...just everything.
5. As for the check I got, I deposited it in my account and I've ordered a few things from Amazon. Namely a game controller for my computer so I can play Batman: Arkham Asylum, a 4 GB Memory Stick for my PSP and a Mokona Plushie. Yes, I already have a game controller for the computer, but I can't find it and the game I want to play requires a different kind of controller anyways. The 4 GB Memory Stick is because the one I have is only 1 GB and I use that for game saves, but I also want to be able to buy old PS1 games off of the Playstation Network, but they're fairly big files, so I'd figure I get a separate Memory Stick for those games. Silly, I know.
