I’m Lumi, I’m in my thirties, and I’ve been on this fucking website since 2011. I’m a nonbinary lesbian and my pronouns are they/them. I am a professional freelance writer and amateur, occasional game dev.

My most frequent post/reblog topics include: queer stuff, some US politics, birds, cats, robots, art, writing, video games, Disco Elysium, Touhou, Vocaloid, anime/manga, danmei, and whatever else I find amusing.

It’s silly to try to lay down a “do not follow” policy, honestly, but just like… I don’t tolerate shitheads following me. Specifically, transphobes and TERFs will be instantly blocked upon discovery.

Also, respectfully: please don’t follow me if you’re a minor. If you do and I notice, I will soft-block you to make you unfollow.

Find me elsewhere online:

*be warned, this is mostly just Disco Elysium stuff right now. Also some adult things.

I’ve also been playing Neopets again lately, because why the fuck not, I guess. If you wanna friend me there, I’m hootymcowlface.

Also, feed my TamaNOTchi please.

Guys forget about danmei for a moment I need you to know about this Chinese animated film called 牛来 (Niu Lai) which has become an instant cult classic in China - the animation is so terrible and eerie that it's been dubbed the "Chinese Backroom", and the creatures in it are so eldritch that Lovecraft wouldn't dream of creating them:

Chinese audiences love the horribleness and stupidity of this film so much that they flocked to the theatre to watch it and recreated a whole bunch of classic movie posters with Niu Lai characters in them:

The film also contains such deeply emotional scenes with deep philosophical dialogues as:

baby cow: stands upright to jump over a stream, but somehow floats 200 feet into the air when he jumps and bangs his head against a tree, starts crying

uncle cow: What's wrong?

mama cow: He slammed his face into a tree.

uncle cow: Then shouldn't the tree be the one crying?

If you'd like to witness this cult classic in its full glory and achieve a spiritual awakening, someone filmed it in the cinema and posted it:
