There's still time to send in messages for the Jackie Earle Haley fanbook - but I'm getting paranoid that there's not going to be enough messages! For it to be a substantial, decent-sized book, not some flimsy sparse thing.
So. I have extended the deadline to 10pm CST, Tuesday March 24.
This is my plea for MORE JEH MESSAGES PLEASE. If any Watchmen/JEH fans should see this.
We want to show the man some love, right? So let's not do it half-assed. COME ON PEOPLE! Rally the troops. This is the post for more info!
Also, am so totally downloading The End is Nigh on the PS3. Will write a review once I do and get to play it for a bit. I don't care what reviews it's gotten, IT'S THE GODDAMN WATCHMEN VIDEO GAME AND IT'S PRETTY WITH JACKIE AND PATRICK VOICING. What more do you need?

Final update before signing: Just a disclaimer/apology - if I end up leaving someone out of the final book on accident, you have my deepest apologies. I am human and looking at emails+putting together pages for hours on end is not a clean or easy process. CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES AFTER THE SIGNING! Hopefully we'll have pics and stuff. And if anyone wants to donate money to a college student, or write me a letter, or send me cookies, why YES you can. They just better not be stale when I get them :p

Thanks folks, your messages are going to make an awesome gift for JEH. FOR A TOTAL OF 104 MESSAGES!!! If I did my math right. ROCK!
Update 3/24: HEY GUYS! Wow, you guys are awesome. I've got a lot more entries over the last few days. Just want to remind everyone to check the list below to make sure their name is on it as the clock winds down.
Update 3/23: Hey all, I would like your input on something, however I will make the final decision on this:Should the book have double-sided pages or one-sided? It's going to be double-sided - cheaper that way.
IMPORTANT Update 3/22: PLEASE READ! I've decided to extend the deadline to 10pm CST, TUESDAY March 24. Why? Because I'm hoping this allows more people to contribute to the book. Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far, everyone has done a great job keeping things classy.
Update 3/22: Hey guys, feel free to spread the word to any JEH fan communities/mailing lists/friends who might be interested, need more messages! Also, the pages will be in color so keep that in mind when creating your messages.

So guys, I have an idea, let me know if this interests you:
A collection of thank-you notes/messages to Jackie in book format from you guys. Scan in hand-written notes will make the messages more personal. I'll design the book format and post for your approval. I'll put the messages together and print the book with money out of my own pocket. Then I'll hopefully be able to give the book to Jackie at the signing in San Antonio next week. (Which means this is kind of short-notice...but I'm willing to try if enough people are interested in this.)
What do you think? Would anyone be interested in this? And of course these messages would be open to any Jackie fans, but the focus of the messages will be on his wonderful portrayal of Rorschach. Feel free to mention his other films, but we want to keep it focused on our gratitude for bringing Rorschach to life on the screen.
