Initial Doubt's show that evening will be a Memorial to Frank Prevatte from Born into Kaos.

Frank was a great performer and friend and was a big inspiration to all of us from Initial Doubt. Thanksgiving is a perfect time to show our gratitude to Frank and BIK for what they have given us. They only way we know how to keep his memory alive is through our music.

All proceeds from ID's ticket sales will be placed in a trust fund for Frank's 3 year old daughter. We will be paying tribute to him by doing a medley of BIK songs. Tickets are only $5 - so please let us know ASAP how many you would like...

We will do what we have to to get the tickets to you. Thanks Brent, Darryl and James for your support..........

THANKS AND PEACE !!!!!!!!! Ian, Angela, Ricky and Mike

Final show

Make sure you come out and check out the band's final show on Saturday, August 7th at The Masquerade in Ybor City.

Doors open at 8 PM, and Born Into Kaos is headlining, so they will be going on last, which looks to be about 10/10:30.

Tickets are $6 in advance, or $8 at the door. The band will not be selling tickets ahead of time. If you wish to purchase your tickets in advance, you can either get them on The Masquerade website http://www.masqueradetampa.com/ or at The Masquerade box office.

The show is all ages

Come out and check out what is bound to be one hell of a show! If you've always wanted to see the band live, but kept putting it off, this is your last opportunity so take advantage of it!

If you're one of the lucky ones that has already seen them, come on out one last time and see the boys perform not only new, but some of their older material as well!

"I want you to know that I believe in your song...."

I don't know how much longer the board will be up, but with all the negativity that has come out on that board lately, and with as much as these guys have gone through these last few months, both internally and externally, if ya'll want to post wishes of encouragement and good luck, I'm sure they'd love to hear it.

And please, nothing stupid. They've had to deal with enough of that. They don't deserve it and I won't tolerate it.

Hello all:

It's been quite some time since I have visited this board let alone posted on it. My reasons are personal, and the band alone knows the reason why.

I was contacted today by the band and was very sad to hear they are breaking up. Basically, they feel they can no longer carry on and feel the burning fire they once had for this group has been all but smothered. I believe in this band. I believed in them when I signed them (yes, I was the guy that actually signed the band to a record deal) and I still believe in them now. It was not the bands fault they did not get a chance to release a full length album. Unfortunately, MCA Records closed their doors and the band, along with myself and many other bands and employees fell victim to these dire times in the record industry. They have been through a lot to say the least. In a way, we all have. I'm hoping they will reconsider and have offered them help and advice, but it is their will alone that can decide the bands fate, and for this moment in time it may be best for them to take a step back.

It is for this reason that I inform you this site may soon be down for good. Getting angry over things is counter productive to this band moving forward and trying to get through a difficult time. This is not a decision that they have come to lightly, but one of deep thought and soul searching. They thank ALL their fans for their words of encouragement and the support they have shown throughout out the years.

One never knows what tomorrow brings, but for now it is a fond goodbye.

JM

Don't forget about the band's last performance on Saturday, August 7th at The Masquerade in Ybor City. If you've never seen BIK perform live, but always wanted to, here is your last chance! It's bound to be their best, so make sure to get your ass out there!

Doors open at 8 PM, tickets are $6 in advance, and Born Into Kaos will be going on last as they are the headliners.

* Please note, as stated earlier, that this community will remain active to provide updates on the individual efforts of the band members.

Born Into Kaos disbanding

After four years, BIK has decided to part ways. It saddens many, from the fans and friends that have supported them through the years, to those that will never get a chance to see them.

The door may be closed on BIK, but this opens another door for each of the guys to grow as individuals and as musicians in a different capacity.

Life doesn't always work out the way we want. It can take us by surprise. What brings you through it is the strength you find within yourself and the people you surround yourself with.

Friends will always be friends and that love and appreciation for the guys as individuals (both professionally and personally) will only continue to grow. Their music will always be a part of our lives and I would hope that the fans would continue to support the guys in their careers going forward. For all that have supported the band and their music, they are whole-heartedly grateful.

In one final attempt to rock Tampa Bay, the band will be playing at The Masquerade on Saturday, August 7th.

Keep it here for details.

This community will remain open and will continue to be used for news on individual projects and efforts by the former members of Born Into Kaos, Frank, Brent, James, and Darryl.
