♥ Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings ♥

I was watching CBS News two nights and they featured a soul singer named Sharon Jones. I was so impressed. I like Soul but I've never been a HUGE fan but I just adore her. She's got pipes. This industry is oversaturated with people who can't sing but call themselves singers. Sharon Jones has got pipes and she feels the music and this genre is being reinvented by her. It's retro soul at its best.

Give her a listen even if you think you hate soul, I find her enchanting and mesmerizing. Her band is called "Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings."

Watch the CBS interview below. She was once told by a record executive that she should bleach her skin and lose weight and would never make it.
