Bandom Fan Fiction Awards

After many long hours of looking around the interweb two things were realized. One, there are a lot of good fanfiction award sites that feed one's need to read all the fiction a person could want. The second? There's nothing like that for Bandom writers. So, this is the process of fixing that wrong in the world by bringing you the first annual Bandom FanFiction Awards.
Starting midnight on January 1st, we'll be opening up our nominations. Readers will submit their choices for our many categories up until11:59 PM January 29th. After that all nominations will be closed while we try to compile everything into a lovely list for everyone.
After everything in compiled, linked and neatly ordered, we will be posting it all for everyone to read. This should all be done around February 1st. From then on, it's in the hands of the voters. Read whatever pleases you, vote for whatever you deem as your favorite. Really, you have until February 20th to help choose who's going to be going home with a Bandom FanFiction Award.
1st Place - 5 icons & a banner for their Bandom pairing of choice.
2nd Place - 3 icons & a banner for their Bandom pairing of choice.
3rd Place - 2 icons & a banner for their Bandom pairing of choice.
As for nominees, well, they at least get a banner for being nominated.
Any fic posted during the year of 2010 is perfectly acceptable for nomination so long as it fits the category that it is being nominated for. More information about the nomination process will be posted when the time arises though.
Also, as with everything else, an author will be asked to accept their nominations and allow public access to their fic if it's on a friends only journal as we'd like people to be able to read the fic. If a person chooses not to do this or accept their nomination, they won't be added to the list.
Well that's great. Just remember to watch this community so you can be ready when things get going around here. After all, come New Year's Day, we will be opening up our nomination sections and everyone will be able to fill out a ballot for us to take a wee gander at. Of course, we have a deadline for that too and nothing will be accepted after January 29th. Or come back February 1st to just read through our nominee list and maybe vote.
