My name is KaTrina. I just moved from Indiana to Missouri but I'm originally from Washington State (born and raised.). I have a million brothers and sisters, literally almost a million! Okay, maybe not that many, BUT 12 is close enough! Technically I'm an only child, but technically not, yeah figure that one out!
I'm a music major with a focus on both instrumental as well as vocal. I might be doing Broadcasting as a minor but I'm not sure yet.
I really want to enjoy Maryville so I'm trying to find new friends everywhere! I can't wait for classes to start so I can meet my classmates and make more friends!
Random things about me:
* I say that makes me mad a lot, even though I'm not literally mad.
* I hate the nickname "Kat", it's annoying. My name is beautiful, use the full thing. I'm sorry that you're too lazy to pronounce 3 syllables.
* I have a boyfriend, his name is Adam. Yes, I met him on the internet, get over it. We've been dating for 2 1/2 years and I've known him since I was 12. We didn't meet until I was July 2, 2005 (That makes me 17 and fresh out of high school =P ).
* I'm a pizza girl, unfortunately. My first job was a pizza place, then I moved to Texas, worked at another one. Moved to Indiana and managed one within 3 months of working there. Eventually I got fed up with it. I love the business and I really like being able to serve people, I just don't want to do it anymore.
* I hate it when people call ham "Canadian Bacon", it's not, shut up.
* When you ask for a sauce to dip your crust in, please don't say "I want some cheese for dippin'." It's annoying, it's not good grammar and we do make fun of you.
* The beef we put on your pizza is not hamburger. Hamburger is something made from beef.
* When you call and complain, we care. But we still make fun of you when we get off the phone. Yes, we even call you names.
* Cheese always comes on a pizza, unless you want to pay for extra cheese, don't request a "Cheese and Pepperoni" pizza.
* Learn the name of your favorite pizza, and stop saying "The one with everything on it" because eventually some day I'm going to put everything on your pizza and you're going to be pissed. But I'll laugh. A lot.
* Make up your mind before you call the pizza place. It's annoying to hear you ask "Bob" and "Frank" what they want and yes, we're generally busy when you call.
* I like Chinese Food. Love it.
* I only drink milk when I eat Hamburger Helper, or eat Oreo's.
* I love kids when they're between the ages of 1 and 3. I don't understand why people don't. It's when they're learning the most and are much more fun to interact with. (Face it, they don't start back talking you yet!)
* I love road trips.
* Since being in an accident, I prefer to drive.
* I don't usually get along with most girls. They bug me.
* For about half of every month I actually try to eat better. Then I give up.
* I prefer drinking water over most things.
* I want to get married in about 5 or 6 years.
* I only want 2 kids, but God seems to have a sense of humor with my family.
* I want a girl and a boy.
* My first or only daughters name will be Kathrine Elaine.
As most of you know I'm a HUGE American Idol fan. This season has made me about as mad as the season Ruben won. Just...EW! How can you morons let some stupid 17 year old boy that can't sing, has a weird face and retarded hair styles stay and get rid of two of the most talented people on the show. This is bull.
So, I have this really cool friend named Kelly, and I was joking around and told him to make a post about me. Wellllllllllllllllllllllll heres what he said =)
"On a lighter note:
I met KaTrina in the summer of 03 when I used (I did NOT steal it) my parent's van to go meet her and Mindy. In the time I'd been talking to Mindy, KaTrina had a severe dislike of me which I never really noticed. It all had something to do with me being mormon. So naturally we had fun on the swings at Finley Elementary because later I got in a lot of trouble for borrowing my parent's van which I did NOT steal.
Some time passed and it was KaTrina's birthday. I was Mindy's 'boyfriend' (not much of one at that) so I was her guest. Then 'it' happened. KaTrina took my hat and passed it off to her friend Josh and a few minutes later all hell broke loose. What do you want?! He wouldn't give my hat back! The next day Mindy broke up with me and I started talking to KaTrina.
We got closer and talked more sending e-mails back and forth. Eventually we started dating and all was well. Well, except for our run-ins with the police. We were pulled up to, pulled over and KaTrina was asked multiple times if she was aware that I was old and if she was under any kind of hypnosis. It was all incredible and I'll always remember those times fondly.
Siiiiigh. Then we broke up and she started dating Ben and things sucked. Thankfully we were still friends but I couldn't stand seeing her with such an ass. I didn't want to risk the friendship we had though so I kept my mouth shut about 97% of the time. Then she broke up with him and it was pretty sweet because then I could try to win her back. That never happened so let's move on to cooler things.
She was in her senior year and she was so happy to be getting so close to graduation. I don't know when I found out that she'd be moving after graduation but it hit me pretty hard. Not like a ton of bricks hard, that'd kill me, more like a single brick to the chest that sent me to the floor in agony. I decided I would try to spend as much time as possible with her.
I also brought her a bowl of ice cream, wrote a song for her and made a custom cd for her. Seriously, I made the liner notes with song lyrics for the english speaking songs, and little notes to her for the japanese ones. I wish now I'd put something different from the hard j-rock song but oh well. I got the cd to her the day before she left, and the real cd a few hours before she left. I don't remember but I'm pretty sure I cried when I left after that.
She moved to Texas and then Indiana and has been back to visit a couple times since she left. She always made time to see me even if I was in a bad mood. She is my best friend and I love her. There is absolutely nothing I would not do for her and I know she knows it. I never would have guessed when I met her that clear starry night that I would have such a person in my life. You have, and always will be, my friend."
