I was on the fence about reading this. The beginning felt... odd. I'll go ahead and give it another try.

My concern the farther I got into it would be that the ending wouldn't be happy, which... zombie apocalypse, it's a fair worry. But I both liked it and felt thoughtful about it later, and little bit wistful there wasn't more, which is how I decide if I *really* enjoyed something.
