Life changed in 1930 for every wizard and witch in London. Gellert Grindelwald killed Albus Dumbledore on a muggle street and rose to power. Nothing is like it should be. It wasn't long before Grindelwald extended his power to the muggle world as well as the magical world. Halfbloods, muggleborns, and even muggles live in fear. Breaking boundaries and rewriting old laws, he controlled everything he could see. Unhappy with just that, he stretched his power, spanning countries. The Class of the Chrysanthemum rose early against the dark dictator, only to be broken into factions when their leader, Cassiopeia Black, met her untimely death at the end of Grindelwald's wand. Still the Class of the Chrysanthemum fought on in factions, not knowing who to trust. It's war, but no one seems to know it. The game is set in 2001 currently. Grindelwald's is coming out publicly, eventually, with his relationship with Vlad Tepelus. The plot and arcs depend and focus on the reactions of the characters over Grindwald's decisions, his new leadership role and loyalty, and the actions he takes as a consequences that effects all. The plots also focus on relationships of current characters that unfold. Reopening March 5th, 2012! Accepting canon characters, muggles, and [magical/muggle] original characters!

There's a revolution coming, and the Brotherhood wants you to join them. For centuries, wizards have been ruling this world, building their wealth and power off the backs of muggles. It's time to end the power of the wizards and create a new world.

Those who aren't with us should be warned. We are not asking for change politely. It is coming, and those who oppose it will be sorry. We fear nothing and we will stop for nothing, because we have the power of justice and truth on our side. Those who cling futility to the coattails of a mad king can burn with him. For the past 500 years, wizards have lived openly as the masters of their muggle counterparts. The Statute of Secrecy never existed. In England, the royal Peverell line was ruthless in keeping the 'peace.'

Now that peace is destroyed. The last Peverell king is mad and his health is failing. Two families have a strong claim to the throne after him. But the muggles and commoner wizards are starting to band together and ask: Do we really need a king? They're asking this question with bombs and bullets.

Amortentia

The Game

It's been a year and a half since the fall of Voldemort and the Wizarding World is still rebuilding. The Death Eaters have been tried, Hogwarts has been rebuilt, and everyone is attempting to move on with their lives. However, most of them have forgotten the biggest thing they should have learned during the war; the importance of love. It was, after all, Dumbledore's message that there could always be move love in this world.

While working on an experiment to alter the properties of the popular love potion, Amortentia, Unspeakable Hermione Granger makes a mistake that leaves everyone within the Ministry, Diagon Alley, and Hogsmeade on that day fall in love with the person whom they're nearest to. While everyone is stuck with the wrong person, or in some cases, the right ones, The Ministry frantically tries to correct their mistake, but their attempt to bring everyone out of their love-drunk stupor only leads to everyone magically finding their soulmate. Not everyone will be happy about who they're fated to be with, but some of them may just find what they've been looking for.

Amortentia is set in the year 2000, when the Wizarding World is still recovering from the events of the war. We're focused on the characters exploring all kinds of relationships: romantic, family, friendship, etc. and character development. Every two to three weeks, the mods will introduce a new plot point for the game, which will keep things in motion for the first few months, with the plan being to let everyone keep things going with character interactions afterwards.

Current Events

After a botched experiment with altering the properties of Amortentia, almost everyone fell under the potion. Some people spent the time snogging, others got engaged, and some people ended up with people they secretly desired in the first place, opening up new relationships to be formed. There's also a lot of people who aren't happy about the entire thing, not to mention, some truths have come out about others. There's a lot going on and it's going to keep going on.

The Players

Amortentia is currently seeking dedicated writers who are interested in character development, participating in game-wide plots, and moving the plot forward with character interactions.

Coming Soon

Kingsley and the Ministry are going to administer a new potion invented by Hermione which will lead people to seek out their soulmates, which can only lead to chaos and hilarity. However, in order to make sure this all kicks some ass, we need to fill some of out most wanted characters, which include: Neville Longbottom, Harry Potter, Seamus Finnigan, and many others.

The Game

The year is 1981. Voldemort is still at large. The Order is hunting down Horcruxes. Sirius Black isn't in Azkaban. The Potters aren't dead. And The Longbottom's are nowhere near being admitted to St. Mungo's because of those damn Lestranges. Why not? Because we decided to throw canon out the window and re-write the story for ourselves and it's been one Hell of a story so far and it's only going to get better!

Over at Crescendo, we believe in letting you, the writer, determine where the plot goes based on character interaction and plots, so literally anything can happen. We believe in giving you the freedom to let things develop naturally, instead of trying to force your characters into a small box to make things work with what happened in the books. We've been open for nearly six months and we don't plan on going anywhere, so come on over, take a seat, and drive the plot a bit to see where you can take us next.

Current Events

Voldemort and his Death Eaters are doing their best to stir up terror to get the resistance against them to stop. Katherine Rosier is doing all that she can so Millicent Bagnold will be recalled as Minister, including murdering members of her own family who are sullying the family name, so Voldemort can take over, she can clear Bellatrix's name, and so a Rosier can become Minister. Alice Longbottom accidentally killed Alecto Carrow in battle. Bellatrix Lestrange is running the Ministry, unknown to anyone, because she is the puppet master controlling Minister Bagnold. Voldemort is on to Regulus and has a plan to kill the Potters, steal Neville, and to get his hands on the prophecy. Most of the characters are in hiding and hating it, leading them to come up with creative ways to kill Voldemort, not to mention, the Order knows about the Horcruxes thanks to one Regulus Black, and they've already destroyed one all because the Lovegoods are B.A.M.F.'s and they need to find the rest!

We're currently seeking dedicated writers who are interested in character development, participating in game-wide plots, changing canon through their actions and interactions, and truly exploring the 'what-ifs' of the HP-Verse that canon ruined for us.

Coming Soon

Bellatrix Lestrange is going to screw Voldemort over, clear her own name, and take over the Ministry so she can finally have the 'right' side in charge, without all of Voldemort's little terror games slowing things down. Voldemort is going to try to kill Rodolphus and Bellatrix's child, force Narcissa to take the Dark Mark, and try to get Regulus to turn over his own brother to be killed. Not only will he be pissing off his own followers but the entire Order is ready to kill him, so it's only a matter of time before both sides come together to take him down or for one to finally stand up to him and try to kill his ass.

Things are going to be very interesting soon, however, in order for these things to be as kick-ass as we want them to be, we need a few characters. Our most wanted characters are: Severus Snape, Lily & James Potter, Xenophilius Lovegood, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Cassidy Longbottom, Michael Brown, and a whole bunch more! Not to mention, poor Regulus really needs him someone to drag him out of that damn closet he's hiding in.

Crescendo

It's 1981. Voldemort is on the rise. Death Eaters roam free. Hundreds have died or disappeared. As each day passes, the resistance grows weaker. Voldemort seems to be invincible and all hope seems lost, that is until a Prophecy is made; a child with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies to those who have thrice defied him and with a power that the Dark Lord will not understand. This child will bring an end to Voldemort's reign. And so the Dark Lord set out to kill this child before he could grow into a threat.

We all know the story, little Harry Potter is that child, his parent's die to protect him, the Dark Lord falls, Sirius Black is sent to prison, The Longbottoms are tortured to insanity, dozens more die, and the survivors are left broken.

But let's not get further into that, because we all know that story. Because, what if the story had a different outcome? What if you had a chance to re-write canon? Decide who lives? Who dies? Who wins the war?

Crescendo is an AU Marauders Era RPG taking place in 1981, when the war is in full swing. Through your actions, the story will slowly unravel into something new and exciting, or still have the same outcome. The ending is unknown, but the journey to discovering it will be a good one.

There's a New World Waiting For You

On October 31st, 1999, a group of eco-terrorists released a biological weapon at every major airport in the world. 50 hours later, governments across the globe initiated states of emergency. Those lucky enough to find shelter had to wait it out – the 28 long days for the infected to starve to death or kill each other in their madness. The world as you knew it is gone. Cities are virtually devoid of life. Less than 1% of the worlds population remains. The Magical and Muggle governments struggle to cope and plan for the future of the human race. Your destiny awaits you.		We are Canon compliant up end of DH, minus Epilogue. Plus 28 Days is an adult game and smut is a part of it though not the focus of the game-wide plots. THE DARKEST YEARS

It had started nearly a decade ago. At first no one thought much of the random disappearances and deaths, all seemingly unconnected to one another. Young, old, female, male, single people, group murders. There was nothing connecting them one another. Until Professor Dumbledore realised what was happening.

From there it didn't take people long to realise that there was something more to these deaths than what originally appeared. Someone then another started to notice that they were Muggles, Muggleborns, people who supported equality. As each day more and more deaths and disappearances were occurring until they could no longer be ignored.

The year is now 1980, the attacks have been occurring for a decade and show no sign of stopping. Everyone is scared, no one trusts anyone, especially those involed the most in the war. Welcome to The Darkest Years, the first war is raging between the Death Eaters and the Order of the Phoenix while others are just trying to live their lives, stay safe and pretend that nothing is happening.

The Darkest Years is a canon compliant, Marauder Era game set in 1980 that focuses not only on the war but the lives of the other people, those not directly involved with it.
