Hi Beloit :) I'm Abby, I hail from MN, and I'm a prospective student. I have applied to Beloit (haven't heard back yet!), and while I'm not sure how active this community is, I have a few questions:
1. How is the psychology department at Beloit?
2. How selective is Beloit, exactly? I got a 530 on the math section of the SAT. I did fine on the rest, and I have an A average at a really competitive and academically rigorous school, so I don't know how that'll work...
3. If I'm going to do an overnight, which night should I choose? I know I can't do one on a Friday or weekend, which sucks. I just want to get a good feel for the school.
4. Can you do other study abroad programs? Like, for example, my mum did the Sweetbriar program for her study abroad in France, would Beloit be compatible with this program?
5. How is the party scene at Beloit? I'm sure this question has been asked bazillions of times before, but I know it changes with every year.
In reading back entries, Beloit has moved up on my list. The admissions process for Beloit has been great; everyone is really welcoming. I had a tour but I honestly cannot remember if I interviewed, which is bizarre... I got rejected from both Bates and Grinnell, and I'm kind of bummed, but I'm hoping that I'll find a school I like even more. That school could be Beloit! Cheers :)
