Beetleborgs Official DVDs and Power Morphicon 3

Hey hey everybody! Sorry for the lack of updates! Anyway as many of you have heard, the first volume of the first season will be released in DVD format (Region 1 only...so far) on October 16, 2012 ! Perfect for Halloween if you ask me!

The official DVD cover for Volume 1 of Big Bad Beetleborgs. Thank you Shout! Factory!!!

Source: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008…

If you read the product details from the page above, the first volume runs at 540 minutes in a span of 3 discs. A typical Beetleborgs episode runs about 20 minutes. If the entire first volume runs at 540 minutes and each episode is 20 minutes long, that means the first volume contains about 27 episodes. Since there are 3 discs in this volume, it can be deduced that each disc contains about 9 episodes. No mention of any bonus/special features in the DVD set as of yet, but we'll see :)

As for Power Morphicon news, Joe Hackett (Count Fangula) is officially confirmed to be a guest at the event. He heavily hinted that he will appear at the con through Facebook posts, but the key message that he sent me a few days ago said that he had contacted the PMC staff and was accepted to be a guest. Now that's AWESOME!!! Hope more Beetleborgs actors and actresses will come to PMC 3!!!

Joe Hackett aka Count Fangula

Oh and by the way, I won a postcard contest that was held by the PMC staff a few months ago and now it will be available for free throughout the COMIC-CON event! If you're going to be there, I wish you good luck in finding a copy of my postcard hahaha!!!

Power Morphicon 3 postcard that features my art. Truth be told, this only took me 3 hours lololol!!! Imma get one at COMIC CON!!! - Emily Nguyen

Other Beetleborgs staff that will be at the con:

Barbara Goodson (Ladyborg, but most famous for Rita Repulsa :) )

Christopher Cho (Nukus)

Herbie Baez (Roland Williams/Green Hunter Borg/Titanium Silver Borg)

Marshal Hilton (Les Fortunes)

Scott-Page Pagter (voice actor to Wolfie and Producer of the show)

Hope to update more often!!!

Heather, PMC 3, and Other Things

Hey everybody! Sorry for the extremely irregular updates as of late! I'll do my best to update Beetleborg fans on the latest news, even though I'm quite sure most of you have already known certain news hahaha! Anyway as you can see, I'm still currently updating the tags system here. If you look at the left side of the page, you'll notice that the first few tags are numbered. Those numbered tags are like a menu of contents where each numbered tag will lead you to a directory of other related tags, (e.g) 03) picture gallery will contain the tags photos/ pictures, screencaps, official comics, etc.. I hope that this tag system will further enhance the organization of this blog and thus it'll be easier for viewers to navigate through this ever growing place! By the way, the extra 000's below the numbered tags are meant to separate them from the other 100's of other tags below that mostly comprise of character names. So think of it this way, the numbered tags are the main tags of this blog, especially if you're trying to look for certain entries.

Elisabeth Lund -- Heather

In full honesty, I'm actually very excited that Elisabeth Lund (Heather) is going to come to Power Morphicon this year! It's also astonishing on how she acknowledges and embraces the Beetleborgs fandom up to this day--many of the child stars from the show would rather sway away from Borgs. I'm really happy that Elisabeth still has her Beetleborgs spirits up, there's really a lot more fans for this show than one would think!

Elisabeth also has a facebook fan page. Keep in touch with her here:

http://www.facebook.com/ElisabethL…

You can also keep in touch with Joe Hackett (Count Fangula) through his new Facebook Fan page:

http://www.facebook.com/joehackett…

Also, I never knew until fairly recently that a very old fansite for Elisabeth have existed. It includes in-depth information and some screencaps. This site will be added to the LINKS section.

http://milenna.tripod.com/index.ht…

If you have facebook, click the 'LIKE' button on her imdb page! You should be doing that for all the Beetleborgs actors anyway hahahah (and the Big Bad Beetleborgs and Beetleborgs Metallix page)!!!

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0526158/

See the red arrow and circle, and click the LIKE button. Easy as pie!

Beetleborgs Wikia

For quite a long time I have been dismissing the Beetleborgs Wikia mainly because of its lack of information and updates (the Beetleborgs page on Wikipedia basically has all the information that an average Beetleborgs fan would want anyway), but as of late the Beetleborgs Wikia has been getting a significant make-over with character pages and photos added (I can tell that some of the uploaders used some of the images that were readily found in this blog :D ). This is basically good news that fans and perhaps new generations have been putting an effort in making the Beetleborgs Wikia more complete with each update. Of course, it still has a long way to go, but it's good progress nonetheless. Finally, the Beetleborgs Wikia will be added to the LINKS section!

Pauline's Hillhurst Monsters Music Vids!

Hey guys, I'm still in the process of revamping the tags on this blog. In the mean time, check out Pauline's latest Hillhurst Monsters fan music video! Beetleborgs and Foo Fighters, a nice combination :D

Pauline made another music vid earler that focuses on Josh Baldwin/White Blaster Borg and Art Fortunes! Wow, I wasn't expecting that! Pretty cool vid, perhaps something different from other of Pauline's works. Loved both versions of "It's My Life."

Oh boy, I keep on forgetting to post this up, definitely check out the The Hillhurst Monsters Fanart Group (also established by Pauline) where you get to see your favorite Beetleborg characters drawn by many different artists. I swear, it's not just Hillhurst Monsters--you basically see 'almost' every character up there! I think I should also post up some B-Fighter fanart from Pixiv.net--I've been bookmarking them but I haven't yet posted them here! Oh well, the Toku-Universe facebook page has some of them, including my fanart as well! Anyway, check out the fanart group if you haven't yet hahaha!

B-Fighter Episodes Reuploaded

Why do I keep on forgetting to update this information? Anyway, both Juukou B-Fighter and B-Fighter Kabuto have been reuploaded by mega Metal Heroes fan (and amazing cosplayer) Sharivan Spark! All of the episodes can be accessed in his Toku-Universe facebook page ( http://www.facebook.com/TokuUniver… ). Unfortunately, they're not subbed except for the first 3 episodes of Juukou.

Here are the episodes:

Juukou B-Fighter (subbed by Hi No Tori Fansubs)
Episode 1: gigapeta

Episode 2: bayfiles

Episode 3: bayfiles

JUUKOU B-FIGHTER: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?…

B-FIGHTER KABUTO: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?…

If you're interested in watching other Metal Hero and/or Kamen Rider shows, they're all right here:

http://www.facebook.com/media/set/…

Also to note, Henshin Justice Unlimited has recently revived their download section with archived threads at Toku Fans. In order to access the downloads, use the same username and password you use for HJU forums. Because most of the posts are about over a year old, a lot of the links still lead to megaupload, which has been shutdown earlier this year :(

Well, enjoy the episodes!

Multiple Updates and Stuff

Wow, it's been 3 months since I've posted anything here! Sorry about that, guys! Been distracted with work, other hobbies, and personal ambitions hahaha! And yet I still have other Borg stuff left in store, I just haven't uploaded them yet.

Well here's a list of "updates":

Beetleborgs Official DVD Release

As many of you have known, or at least I think you've all known, Beetleborgs is officially going to have a DVD release by entertainment company Shout! Factory. The company has made an agreement with Saban Brands to make DVDs of all 88 episodes. Also, all of Power Rangers (Samurai and Super Samurai DVDs will be released by Lionsgate), VR Troopers, and Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation will be getting DVD releases. No plans for Masked Rider and Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog yet...

Well that's good news for me 'cuz I don't want to reupload all those Borgs episodes now that Megaupload is gone. Besides, I'm really happy now that I will get physical AND official copies of this show! B-Fighter episodes...I'll think about that since there's way too many episodes hahaha.

List of Beetleborgs staff attending Power Morphicon 3 2012
Power Morphicon 3 will take place at the Pasadene Convention Center (Pasadena, California) from August 17 to 19, 2012. Here's the list of Beetleborgs guests as of March 25, 2012:

Christopher Cho (Nukus)

Herbie Baez (Roland Williams/Green Hunter Borg)

Marshal Hilton (Les Fortunes)

Scott-Page Pagter (voice actor to Wolfie and Producer of the show)

Wesley Barker (Drew McCormick/Blue Stinger Borg) might show up too according to Herbie Baez.

I can tell this year's Power Morphicon will be better than 2010's! I hope more Beetleborgs staff will decide to come this event!

A lot of Things have to be Reuploaded
Because Megaupload was shutdown permanently, many of the downloadable content on this blog is now gone and must be reuploaded. That includes the Borgs eps (I'm not reupping those since we're going to have an official DVD release), B-Fighters eps, B-Fighter manga, certain Borg comics, some obscure footages, and some other stuff. I'm still debating on the B-Fighter eps, but the original B-Fighter manga (with Japanese text) and the Borg comics might as well get reuploaded. I'll do that soon.

B-Fighter Manga Translation Finished

I received a message from zeldAIS of SkewedStudios saying that the B-Fighter manga translation of all chapters has been completed. They now need someone to do the clean-up work on the pages and stuff. Hmm, maybe I should volunteer on doing that???

Mini Beetleborgs Reunion 3/24/2012

Wes Barker (Drew McCormick) and Herbie Baez (Roland Williams). They haven't seen each other live for 13 years! Photo courtesy of Herbie Baez

While I was watching The Hunger Games at the theatres (great movie), there was a small Beetleborgs reunion taking place. Frank Addelia (Wolfgang Smith), Herbie Baez (Roland Williams, Green Hunter Borg, Titanium Silver Borg), Wesley Barker (Drew McCormick, Blue Stinger Borg, Chromium Gold Borg), and Lee Whittaker (Noxic, Red Striker Borg) were attending Gabes Torres' opening of his new movie "Brake." Gabes Torres is one of the most prominent directors of Beetleborgs, in which he directed episodes such as "Never Cry Werewolf," half of the "Shadowborg Arc," part of the "Astralborgs Arc," and many others :)

The Green Hunter Borg revisited the Hillhurst Haunted Mansion for the first time in 15 years

Herbie Baez (Roland Williams/Green Hunter Borg/Titanium Silver Borg) posing in front of the Hillhurst Haunted Mansion (December 2011)

I've seen this vid when it first popped up on Herbie's Facebook Page a few months ago and I spazzed all over. Shame on me for not posting this up back when he made a Youtube vid out of it and added effects and music. Well, I think most of you have already seen this :)

Adding more tags to this blog
Considering that this place is getting too big, I'm thinking about adding more tags such as character and actor names so that specific content can be found more easily.

Wolfie Got My Painting
Frank Addelia actually received it long time ago, but I thought it'll be cool to post it up here hahaha.

Waiting for the big one to come!!!

Rare "Hillhurst Monster" Behind the Scenes Photos Vol. 8 ... and CONCEPT ART!!!!

Merry Christmas everybody! I hope everyone's enjoying themselves with friends and family! And for all Beetleborgs fanatics, I present you the 8th batch of Beetleborgs behind the scene photos and...CONCEPT ART! Yes, concept art of the guest characters in their respective episodes! Wow, I never knew there were such things until I stumbled upon them a couple of months ago (sorry for the wait lol), and they're of the guest characters--I absolutely LOVE the guest characters in Borgs!!! My gawd, you have no idea how much I spazzed when I first saw these!

All of these photos and art came from Beetleborgs's incredible costume designer, Kathryn Shemanek (Official Website: http://www.realcostumedesign.com/m… ). Kathryn is a great inspiration to me. Because of her designs, I've been meaning to do fanart of the guest characters too (if I have lots of time I'll do them!). She even said that she enjoyed working on Beetleborgs the most because she was able to push her creativity to no boundaries :D

Thank you Kathryn! I love your works!

Here are the photos and art!

(Left to right) Billy Forester as Captain Flabber (Episode "Yo Ho Borgs"). 80s Flabber (Episode "Big Bad Luck"). Leprechaun Flabber (Episode "Big Bad Luck").

(Far left) Joe Hackett as Count Fangula...undignified (Episode "Bride Of Frankenbeans"). (Top Right) Fangula is Biff (Episode "Norman Nussbaum: Vampire Hunter"). (Bottom Right) Blake Torney/ Mums, Fangula, Frank Addelia/ Wolfgang Smith, David Fletcher/ Frankenbeans were playing hockey until Herbie Baez/ Roland Williamsm, Wesley Barker/ Drew McCormick, and Brittany Konarzewski/ Jo McCormick interrupted (Episode "BorgSlayer")

Rich Hann as Captain Blackbeard and concept art (Episode "Yo Ho Borgs")!

Pauline's Flabberrific Christmas Music Vid!

You know it's been a long while since Pauline made a Beetleborgs music vid, but lo and behold she just came out with a new one and just in time for the holidays! The footages came from the episode "Christmas Bells And Phasm's Spells." I must say, this one definitely has a different approach compared to her other vids :D

Watch and enjoy!

Happy Halloween! Flabber Cosplay!

I hope everyone's enjoying themselves today! Here's a big treat...a group of fans made a FANTASTIC Flabber costume! FLABBER?! This kicks MAJOR ass! It's actually very rare to see Beetleborgs cosplay; I've only seen one Jara/ Jera, one Shadow (Black Beet), and I was Noxic/ Schwartz (I'll post some pictures next time lol). Also, it's basically close to nonexistent when it comes to Flabber and the Hillhurst Monsters. Okay, the Hillhurst Monsters have been "overdone" on Halloween despite people not actually dressing up as them, but Flabber is something that you don't often see.

Give a round of applause for Jake Seibert (the model), Ronan Madi and Hannah Paredes (the tailors)! Here's some pics!

Jake Seibert as Flabber! Awesome costume, awesome cosplay!

Awesome expression and a cigarette at hand!

A Closer look at his Flabber face :D

And Frank Addelia (Wolfgang Smith) wishes all of you a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Rare "Hillhurst Monster" Behind the Scenes Photos Vol. 7

HOLY SNAPS! I haven't posted anything here for 2 months! Ohh, forgive me for that! Anyway, here are some Hillhurst Monster pics provided by some of the actors. You probably have seen these before, but I'm just postin' them up anyway.

From Joe Hackett (Count Fangula).  These can be easily found in the Count Fangula facebook pages...(1 and 2)

Hillhurst Monsters group shot! Frankenbeans, Mums, Wolfgang Smith, and Count Fangula :D

Count Fangula! Intense eyes!

I'm VERY sure everybody have seen these...they're the #1 pictures that come up when you type in Count Fangula on both Google and Yahoo! Joe Hackett uploaded them on facebook back in 2008, and Maggie Roberge ( http://dragon-hobbit101.deviantart… ) uploaded them onto Fanpop :)

From Frank Addelia (Wolfgang Smith).  These technically aren't behind the scene photos, but this shows that Frank still has his Beetleborgs pride!

Frank Addelia (Wolfgang Smith) in his Charterville Mortuary bowling shirt! The Hillhurst monsters wore these on the "Operation Frankenbeans" episode.

Wolfgang Smith action figure... and a fan-made Wolfy doll! According to Frank, this fan actually made dolls for the rest of the Hillhurst gang too!

Wolfy owned some pretty neat caps!

That's all for now!
