Mar. 5th, 2013 08:24 pmDo you think you can tell when someone is telling a lie, or otherwise lying*?
Relatedly, can you tell if someone believes a lie you tell?
*what is your working definition of a lie? (Would 2>3 be a lie? How about giving the socially required answer to something, rather than the whole truth? Lies to spare feelings? How about make-believe or pretending? Is acting a lie? How about if someone is saying a true thing, but deliberately acts like they are lying in order to make someone believe the true statement is false - is that lying? Is it lying if you believe something to be true or plausible, but are mistaken?)

Feb. 13th, 2013 10:05 pmYesterday, I made vegan gluten-free pancakes*. Which were very nice, although the batter was too viscous* to spread in the pan easily. They worked very well with vegan chocolate ice cream and agave syrup.

I do have this sneaking feeling that I might have not got the hang of the ritual...
