Today I got like 4 hours sleep and my flat remains Too Warm since yesterday, so I sat in front of the fan and played Wrath of the Righteous.

I can't remember where I left off. Chorussina in Drezen? I took Drezen with a couple of rests - I need more rests than I am used to, I actually ran out of supplies - and I remembered this play through is for Trickster. So my banner shows dice and I am trying to stay chaotic.

I did the long chat and choice bit at Drezen and then took the party for a spin in the countryside
and hit two random encounters in a row that rather epically kicked my butt.
I do not recall Retrievers being the first thing I randomly encounter before, or indeed being a random encounter before. I do not recall meeting Gibrileth yet either. But I got back to base with only two of us petrified or dead, and that was actually the best outcome I managed out of many, many, many attempts.

Last Azlanti Mode means you cannot back out of a fight. You just reload as many times as it takes to avoid TPK. It is a lot rougher than I recall.

So I did all that and found the teleport wasn't even working yet and decided the only difference I could think of was I hadn't sent General Shy to retake Sarkoris first. So I did that a bit. Many fewer armies exist. But I've been hopping forwards by enough days a lot of conversations have been triggered and several quests and I am really going to have to try sending the party out again next time I play.

I am not as good at this game as I think I am and the random numbers make more difference than I reckoned, but Nenio is actually very useful if I give her the right spells.

Using other people's builds is not very useful when I cannot figure out how they are meant to work.

Wenduag the kineticist can blow things up real good if I can figure out which buttons to press.

Also there are a lot of conversations happening because she is there that I haven't heard before.

The real world weather isn't meant to be truly obnoxious again for a few days, I hope it gets cooler indoors too.
