JAiMES

JAiMES, full name Juan Pablo JAiMES, is a Canadian DJ and producer of Hispanic American origin who approaches electronic music as an emotional language rather than a genre. Music has been part of his life since early on, shaping a lifelong path of exploration, creation, and sound experimentation. One of the defining aspects of his work is the creation of meditative sonic journeys through the conscious use of frequencies and binaural processing, woven into the emotional design of each track. His productions are not only meant to move the body, but also to expand perception and invite deep listening. Living and experiencing life in different places has profoundly shaped his sonic identity. JAiMES’ music stands out for telling small personal stories in each track, built from sampled voices, field recordings, and real environmental sounds. These elements faithfully reflect his origins and life path without resorting to forced folkloric fusion. Instead, his sound flows organically as a blend of binaural house, world music, and ambient textures. Throughout his professional journey, he has had the opportunity to meet, work, and share creative spaces with internationally recognized artists such as Manu Chao, Alanis Morissette, Oasis, Bomba Estéreo, Maná, Gustavo Cerati, Jonas, Bunbury, Aterciopelados, and Zoé, among others. These experiences have shaped an open, multicultural artistic vision free from formulas. Beyond the club and studio, JAiMES is also known for his work in media and communications across Venezuela, Colombia, France, and Canada. He is the founder of OZONiCO Radio, the first Hispanic radio station in Montreal, a platform where techno music has played a central role throughout its history and in his own artistic evolution. As a DJ, JAiMES has performed across multiple settings—clubs, festivals, and theaters—in countries including Venezuela, Colombia, and Canada. Currently based in Montreal, his project is driven by a constant search for authenticity, where technology, emotion, and humanity converge on the same frequency. JAiMES does not follow trends. He designs atmospheres. His music is not explained—it is experienced.
