Raised in Egypt, Seif Sedky is a DJ/producer based in Cairo whose dedication to music has spanned for nearly a decade. It all began in 2012 when he realized that his passion for electronic music resides behind the decks and ventured to take on DJ courses. Taking it from there, Seif made a name for himself as a DJ, performing at several events under the name of Seif Zee. Yet it took one hell of a complex set with Egypt Trance Family for him to lay his foot down the gas pedal and pursue his true calling. Leaving everything behind, Seif decided to head straight to Sharm El Sheikh in 2015 where he performed at several hotels and clubs and took over two radio shows; Red Sea Radio Station and Brujas F.M (Spain). But mashups and bootlegs weren't enough to fulfill his ambitions, as he returned to Cairo, built his home studio, and became a self-taught producer under the name of MainDain. As he developed his sound, Seif joined forces with Omar Vinyl and System-S, forming the progressive trance trio The Arrivals. Together, they signed their first release “To the End of Earth” in 2018 with Above All Records, a subsidiary of Black Hole Recordings. The release became an astonishing success, as it won the Tune of the Week on Transmission Radio #169 by Transmission Festival and got featured in Magic Island #519 by Roger Shah. A year later, They signed their second release “Space & Time” with Above Alternative. The release took part in both Total Trance Selections Vol. 12 and Trance Masters Vol. 1 compilations from Nothing But. The Arrivals journey came to an end in late 2019 with a remix of Mark Van Rijswijk and Lorraine Gray’s “Under The Sun” from Alltum, marking their final stand as a trio. Ever since then, Seif has been spending more time in the studio, evolving himself not only as a producer but also as an artist. Striving to become a complete musician, Seif earned his sound engineering certificate.
