John Daminato

Chicago-based DJ with 15-plus years of nightlife experience John Daminato began mixing vinyl in his bedroom in the 90s, using a pair of tech1200s he bought from his best friend and set up on the dresser next to his bed. After a year of matching beats, he started snatching up what analog gear he could to build his personal studio and began creating his own tracks. Today, Daminato produces and remixes full time. His sound displays a rough underground energy with plenty of head-space and universal appeal. "The greatest reward for a music producer is the thrill of watching a packed club move to his tracks and the overwhelming energy exuded by a crowd truly enjoying his work," Daminato says. John runs Itch-N-Sniff Records, a label based in Chicago/Germany.
