Founded in Brighton in 2015 by Josh Gunston and Jay McDougall (KXVU), Southpoint was created to reinvigorate the city's underground dance music scene and provide a platform for emerging talent. What began as a local movement has grown into one of the UK's leading independent electronic music labels, built on a strong DIY ethos and a passion for club culture. Over the last decade, Southpoint has released more than 500 records, championing artists including Bushbaby, Hamdi and MPH while continuing to support the next generation of electronic talent. Spanning UK garage, speed garage, house, breaks and bass music, the label has earned support from BBC Radio 1, UKF, Mixmag and DJs across the world, alongside sold out events, festival takeovers and a catalogue that continues to reach millions of listeners every year. Now entering its second decade, Southpoint remains committed to discovering forward thinking artists, building long term careers and releasing music that is made for the dancefloor first.
